  1. The reason is that the forum probably had similar posts and yours were deemed duplicates. I don't know if they were high quality or not, you seem to be writing in proper English but this is not enough often. You have to make better posts to see them stay and not deleted.
  2. Do you really expect people to tell you their experiences of the dark net? Common mate. Anyway, I had to edit and remove some parts about the questions I have seen some members here asking, and I did that for many reasons. XMR is used because it is privacy coin. This doesn't mean that XMR is the problem. All of these markets would keep working without XMR and use dollar instead. There are hundreds of ways of paying for anything online and many of them can be done anonymously. XMR is just a very good technology that almost nobody still understands. You need to be highly skilled developer and spend a year learning the code and understanding how it works.
  3. There is one big similarity. Both are useless. In fact gold is still being used for the jewelry industry, yet Bitcoin doesn't have a use case. It can't be used as a currency as $10 and $20 fees are a joke and any other use case is just to speculate that others will speculate that the price will keep rising for some time more and the speculators will end when the final speculator will buy at some extreme price which will be the top of the bubble. Bitcoin as it is today is just vaporware. Also it has an increasing network of miners that leave a very bad environmental footprint behind. This could be a problem as the big fund that invest try not to invest in environment polluting industries. This is a big no-no for big funds and perhaps this will blow in some faces that have paid a lot to promote an image of high intelligence, while they proven the opposite.
  4. What I have learned so far, is that we are way too late and unless we can become members in a project that has the ability to succeed we won't make a lot from investing. First of all we take some kind of risk that is way too much, especially right now, and then we have to deal with spam and ridiculous promotion of some projects that claim to be working and five years later they are still vaporware. I can't say that this market is not a bubble. It resembles the bullshit from the dot-com bubble where anyone that knew html (takes 2 months to learn) was creating a website, starting an IPO and making millions in a few months. Then was providing something really bad as a product and after some time quitting taking all the profit from the stock sales. This is the crypto market today. Investing is very dangerous, and we had some good timing the previous year, but this isn't going to end well. The bubble will pop and then we will see the real prices of these projects.
  5. That's what we were told and what I was also believing until recently. But it seems that this isn't something we can count on. Lately a whole mountain full of gold was discovered in Congo and there are fears of the gold market getting flooded with gold, which will be unwanted by gold holders and dealers for the current price levels. link Video :
  6. One thing only. If I was Turkish I wouldn't sell my Bitcoin for Turkish lira. I don't know who does that and what is the thinking behind this, but it is a huge mistake as this fiat currency is quickly becoming the next Bolivar. I will sell still for dollar and euro, but if I was to choose between Turkish Lira, or fiat currencies from countries like Venezuela, Lebanon, Zimbabwe as well as almost every small or medium economy that is not in an economic union I would prefer to hold BTC, BCH, XMR, even XRP which is dangerous right now and many more. Who in their right mind wants to hold fiat currencies like these that drop like flies in just a day? Secondly I wanted to speak about Turkey and why this problems with the currency are happening. It is political reasons, which because we are not allowed to discuss I will not, I will just say that wars have a big cost and the cost is always paid by the population. If you think that wars are like in the middle ages then you are wrong. Today wars are not won in the battlefield, but in the diplomacy field. And while Turkey has some kind of regional power, it doesn't prove that it enjoys being peaceful. Consider that warmongering is not welcome in the modern world.
  7. Who has made x500? This numbers are not real. Maybe if someone gets lucky he can go there. I am not even x10 but lower. Just to cover for the year of the pandemic without any other income at all. Had to withdraw very often, almost each month just to cover bills, monthly cost of living and pay some unavoidable expenses..
  8. You do not have to count since the characters as a minimum are just 100, which is something very easy to reach. It is just needs around fifteen words and you are there. Two lines or less. But if all your answers are just that then it will mean that you aren't helping a lot and you are just trying to end this quickly. Some answers are fine with just the minimum but not all answers.
  9. I checked this again after reading this topic, and it seems that Cryptotalk has been stable for a while and doing ok. It could have been better as it stands today at place 40,000 but this is still a great achievement having made it this far in only one year and a half. I hope that the forum will rise more and attract thousands new users that will this time stay permanently, and also manage to get back most of the users that haven't been active for some time. I hope to see a lot more events and perhaps a boost with the use of Talk token for marketing in the forum.
  10. While I only like to have official skins coming from the forum devs, I see the image and it looks great. I am mostly using dark themes where it is possible and I was wondering if there was some kind of extension or tool that could change the background color to a dark one. I will have to read first from some comments of members that tested this and then I am going to give it a go sometime later.
  11. This is an interesting comparison, but I can agree as the forum needs members that care about it and not members that only wonder about the payments and feel stressed enough to end their sentences in just the minimum they can. If everyone changes mind and acts responsibly then the forum will become better, the content too, and everyone in here will gradually start enjoying higher rewards from the campaigns, as the forum has already proven that it can keep giving.
  12. Thank you for your addition, however I don't see how this bank helps in the spread of cryptocurrencies. Also the interests of JPMorgan and other banks are not about people, it is all about increasing their profitability. In case JPMorgan decides to include cryptocurrencies in some kind of investments or give option for trading crypto within the bank, then this won't be anything else but another financial product for them, that will increase the profits of the bank.
  13. Hey, thanks @Guru2050 for the explanation. It sounded weird to me that this member suffered something like that. But I have to say that in the last few days in other websites I am using besides Cryptotalk, I suffered the same a couple of times. I learned that it is internal problem of server, or a non announced maintenance that is the reason for this, and that it is not an account related problem.
  14. Yes this is overly inflated market and we see many celebrities lately trying to exploit it and make a few millions out of nowhere. It is heart-braking how the crypto industry becomes such a joke any time there is a good idea. Everyone is just acting like a scammer just like with the ICO, the exchange-listings, the fake partnerships and anything that can come in mind. When something good appears, it is quickly covered with mud.
  15. Now you get 200 satoshi for your posts. But getting likes in a way that will be more than what is expected will get you into trouble and you will have your account disconnected from payment.
  16. This message explains why it was asked to pay for the reason is that the IP was flagged by the bitcointalk forum for having being used previously by accounts that were banned from that forum and this way bitcointalk tries to reduce some spam. Of course it doesn't do much and it is not a good way to introduce someone in a forum.
  17. I was holding for a while, but at some point the price was too high to just keep holding. I am very glad and I still think it was a very good gift by the forum to the loyal members and those that tried hard to bring quality content, however there have been some spammers too that profited during that time. Later it was fixed and now I think they don't get away at all.
  18. I think that a section for blockchain development and programming in general will be a positive thing. I am not sure how many developers are posting in Cryptotalk, but giving some good insight on their work and some tips and coding information will help everyone that wants to learn.
  19. Besides that, in the end the rewards of the campaigns were lowered a lot and every member of the forum paid the price for this. Of course, the forum couldn't sustain this high payments in Bitcoin and the price of talk ended being very lower which was expected. While you made this post correctly and explained the situation, in the beginners section it is still full with posters that are making the lowest quality possible and most new posts are about helping each other and how much they can profit from this forum.
  20. You are right. Most of the sections bellow the top four aren't used very often by members. Most have valuable knowledge that can help users that are beginners but also advanced users that may find information they are missing in some of the sections of the forum they rarely visit. For the part you call the Southern Cryptotalk, I admit that I am also not following closely and probably I am missing a lot. I will gradually change this and find more time to read posts and perhaps make some on my own. One of the sections we need to post and improve is certainly the tutorials.
  21. I agree completely, but the FOMO factor is what comes later, right after Bitcoin made that 1000% jump in just a few months time. We are in FOMO today, I don't know if you all have faced the same as me, but I get contacted often by people that know I am in crypto and ask me for information. One of them told me a couple of weeks ago that he bought (of course he bought the top at $58000) and how he was frustrated about price dropping right the next day. He was lucky he asked me and not just sold at the bottom when he called ($45000) which was a price I was re buying some. However, I don't plan to give any more advice to beginners, not because I am a bad person, it is just that I can't trust they won't blame me for their mistakes. This is an advice I hope everyone is following as there are many stupid people that will try to put the blame of their decisions to others. The increased legitimacy was a big part of everything. The inflation fears was one factor to consider too. I think there wasn't FOMO early though. It was mostly fear that the halving will not produce results like other times, because the economy was going to collapse and drag Bitcoin together. Whales after the halving stopped selling all together. We also had Paypal buying, companies and lately Tesla which probably was the reason for the recent ATH at 60k. I am expecting now to see some more buyers come to sustain the price as the whales don't seem to be selling everything, but only a small part of their Bitcoin and the top wallets are still full.
  22. There are scams that differ in the volumes of Bitcoin and crypto stolen. The market is full of low life scammers that just want to steal even a dollar from people that are actually working all day and trying to make $2-3 to feed their family. And there are some scammers with big plans that are more intelligent and can organize Pyramid schemes that reach billions of dollars. Also, there are hackers that can damage any system and often attack crypto exchanges leaving the wallets empty. For each part we have to be careful as we can all be targets.
  23. First of all congratulations on the top review I have read in this forum, and it is probably one of the top articles I've read lately in all crypto media. About the project Free-TON while I don't know much, except that it has a lot of dedicated members in the community that work together towards the common goal which is adoption. I am also lately becoming more PoS friendly as when weighing the pros and cons between PoS and PoW, I think that the environmental issues of an ever-growing PoW network will be too much. It also seems that PoS is practical and more efficient while lowering the cost to a minimum and not losing in decentralization from PoW models.
  24. You can find many browser extensions that will help you write correctly in English and fix many mistakes. You will have problem with grammar but there is one that will help you there too. Grammarly is a top website and a browser extension that will give you corrections for both vocabulary and grammar mistakes.
  25. I hope that members that can articulate well and write something useful will keep posting and creating articles about cryptocurrencies. But not create a new post every day. Even if you have unique content, it will be very difficult to do that, and encouraging everyone to write a new post each day is not what we want. This will spam the forum with thousands new posts every day and is not very welcome unless every post is of highest quality and usefulness.
