Yes if you have knowledge about trading and you don't use it, it is just useless as you above mentioned. It is just the same such as in our life. The skills which you don't use anymore, it will be wasting.

Yes your knowledge and study matters in trading but I think the practice matters more than it because while doing trading practice you can gain good experience. There are many sites on which you can do demo trading practice to built some experience. The best sites for doing real trading is Binance, Yobit or Huobi.

Maybe you meant a good platform to perform cryptocurrency demo trading without any payment. You can try it on ByBit, Bitmex, PrimeBit (those are the ones I am sure of). It is actually a very good learning process, I have used ByBit before and i can say the experience was good.

You might have read all the books but still not be able to understand the real life, practical aspects of crypto trading. Trading is just another field and to be the best of the traders you have to be ahead of the other traders in knowledge too and you can not even only read some brief notes and articles in some websites and expect to be a successful trader from then, there are some good books that even beginners can start reading them and understand it, I suggest you the book "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" by John Murphy which is a great read if you look for one.
