One practical method to infer whether bitcoin price can be regarded as "cheap" or "expensive" is paying attention to the moving averages. In short, these metrics can inform us the average price of bitcoin, or any other asset, over a definite period of time. Following this logic, the 20 simple moving average in a weekly time frame indicates the average price of bitcoin over the last 20 weeks. If bitcoin is well above such average, the price could be regarded as "expensive" and if the price dramatically falls below the average, we could say bitcoin is "cheap". Of course, this should never be taken as an investment advice.

i agree with you @tienda...Everyone wants to buy coins at a lower price and sell them at a higher price.  But if someone had bought Bitcoin a few months ago, he would have a lot of money today.  Because a few months ago the price of Bitcoin was 8K and now it is 19K.  So those who bought Bitcoin at that time have benefited a lot today.

One way to know is to look at the past price trend to determine if the price is high or low. But if you are a serious bitcoin holder or investor, better to buy fractions of bitcoin at every price point and buy more if the price is low then average off the price.

 Beginners actually doesn't know about investment properly.  And the basic is when the price is down, buy them. I think that once we invest in bitcoin is better to never think of using those coins, even when the prices goes down it would always recover even though sometimes takes too long, but people withdraw their investment at loss most of them times because they are scared when the market is bleeding and some simply can't wait for the coins to recover for a long time because they got use of those coins.

Yeah every bitcoin investors including us likes to buy when the price of bitcoin is low and sell them when the price doubles or rice and riches our expectations, and i think no one likes to buy a bitcoin when the price is touching the roof.

Every body have is own idea of trading but in my own opinion i will prefer to buy bitcoin at low price and wait patiently for the right time when the price rise up and sell it which will enable me to make good profit out of it. Moreover we all know the basic motto of trading which say buy low and sell high!
