US now accept bitcoin as passport payment!!

This is really a great development in the field of crypto and this happened to be in one of the leading countries in the world. I hope that other countries will allow this as well aside from Venezuela and United States. In addition to the article, the company is protecting itself from the volatility of the price of Bitcoin by providing a payment window in which the exchange rate is locked for ten minutes.

 I think so about this @Ridam  because we all know the matter of bitcoin double spending that how buyer lost their money and seller  scam them..  So its really a good feature made by coinbase for security reason..  Usually in trust wallet   if you received any crypto then need 14k plus confirmation but if you sent from trust wallet then need 13k plus confirmation..

@Calvinpriva ofcourse this news will help to increase btc future from those travelers...  Also i think those travelers who will be adopted with bitcoin first time for this news then later they will try to start on btc trading  as well with another altcoin..  Also the news said another currency will be acceptable soon..

It has been good news in many ways for Bitcoin and this is another addition that helps in more Bitcoin adoption. It is many that find Bitcoin and invest for many reasons and it looks that the price will not fail and create new all time high sometime soon, maybe this or the next month. It is nice to see this although I think it is a private company that performs these passport operations for the US government and not mean more adoption from this country.

i think apps like coinbase and paypal have made it easier to use cryptocurrencies, and yea with this pandemic everyone is reluctant to use cash as it may transfer the virus, while paying with your phone will keep you safe.

I am happy to know about this. Passports are the most legal documents with the ID and paying for these with Bitcoin will do a good advertise for Bitcoin. It is widely accepted for years and keeps going. I hope for more good news like this.

@saraanna396 as i said already that many traveller who did not know before about crypto currency now they will try to involve with bitcoin as well another altcoin to enjoy this facilities..  Because its the most secure way to do transaction in a second..   You know that US already accepted bitcoin but in a certain rule by exchange bitcoin..

As this news already get published by the passport center and all the crypto member now prepare to edit their passport by bitcoin so i think there has no way again to cancelled this great promise..  But we can wait to see what happen later..  But as coinbase support this so it will be happen sure..
