  1. As you said it was the case of a bull run in formation, bitcoin started and many were in good position already, having the backing of strong investors that bought recently with a plan not to sell but hold for long term, this alone made the perfect situation for Bitcoin to begin the bull run and we have now a lot more to see.
  2. Governments are having plans and will soon have cryptocurrencies like digital euro and dollar. There are questions about who will be controlling them but probably it will be the central banks. There are systems created today that will affect the financial life of a century.
  3. I disagree with what you say, cryptocurrencies as long as they are running they haven't died, if there is one that is abandoned and having no blockchain active it is only then that it is deadcoin, but most of them since you talk about the price they can grow a lot and then go very low so the risk is always very high, especially when buying at all time high.
  4. Privacy coins seem to be in trouble after we learned about the Bittrex delisting, as this looks as a bad omen for things that will follow. Any news about regulations on KYC of course has privacy coins as a target too and as investments they don't look to be good ones for the time being.
  5. Looking at the chart in this cryptocurrency it looks that it will never make it again to another ATH, as it is now 95% down from that price, and at a time when other cryptocurrencies are close to make new ATH or at least they recovered and are only 50% far from it. For Nano I don't see reaching ever again the prices it had but the hype for this coin during the 2017 and 2018 bubble must have been extreme.
  6. The social media have founded very difficult with the crypto scams and didn't do what they should have to increase their security, for this reason of keep growing with low cost and no increased security personnel but having AI bots instead, they managed to miss many scams that are evolving and expanding.
  7. Doesn't skrill have a bitcoin wallet that you can use? Look again at the skrill website where your account is, it probably says somewhere something about Bitcoin and will give you a Bitcoin address which is your wallet and what you should use to withdraw from crypto exchanges and wallets.
  8. It was a few days later that ripple went up a lot but later dived after the sparkle airdrop ended and after the sec announced legal action against the ripple company, it is now again very low, with price close to where this post was and the risk in holding Ripple is even higher as any delisting will affect it negative.
  9. Satoshi created Bitcoin and also coded the halving, it is all code and nothing else as we are talking about software, so the halving is programmed in Bitcoin as everything else, but now it is time to forget the halving as this already passed and the next one will take another three years from now.
  10. Perhaps there is no way for them to cope with increased numbers of customers, it is possible their system can't handle them, or there isn't any improvement to be made, since the exchange is more difficult than a simple website and perhaps they also have to deal with some kind of ddos attacks during high volatilty, we shouldn't exclude that.
  11. You can find very good returns for your investments in many currencies as most exchanges are offering staking and some even offer Bitcoin yearly interest at various interest rates depending on which you select, although lately it is Ethereum staking that kicked off and it could be profitable for holders of this asset as they can either stake solo or use an exchange or website offering group staking.
  12. I see the top altcoins right now and I can't recommend anything from these, they seem to have made very good performance for the previous year and pumped again lately so I can't give altcoin recommendation for the time being, perhaps Hedera can be pumped a lot but it won't have to do with something useful or with adoption, but it will be speculation.
  13. Apps infested with malware is another threat in crypto world, and first of all when we use the internet and especially when we deal with investments, trading and any type of money we should be more careful as any website we visit may infect our system, so it is well advised to be sensible and not open any website we meet, not download apps and software or wallets without having made considerable research before.
  14. Bitcoin is what it is, it doesn't need any other scaling solution except from what has been decided already, there was Segwit that did help a little and then there is Lightning that is expected to be massive and strike a blow to many digital currencies that are claiming to dethrone Bitcoin from the top.
  15. Who knows about all that, libra and mastercard, the important is with cryptocurrencies, not stable coins and the traditional banks, we invest and try to select carefully our investments, anything else that is not a lot about crypto but about private companies and the fiat system is not very important.
  16. This could be similar to the Dlrs airdrop that was advertised as a giveaway of 1700 free dollars to everyone and many thought they would receive this much, but the name of the token was free dollars instead, although the airdrop itself had a really good price and it was a very nice gift to us from Yobit.
  17. Some coins like BNB are a hold for longer term and while traders try to make profit fast they forget how important holding is for the coins that have big support by communities and exchanges, bnb is the binance coin and binance chain too, so it was going to rise as Binance is a healthy exchange having billions in profit each year.
  18. Whale alert gives alerts on movements of cryptocurrencies above a certain volume in dollar terms, however this post here while it says it will discuss XRP it given a tweet about USDT, no matter that, whale alert is being used by some bots as well as other crypto influencer accounts that can change prices of crypto assets.
  19. Giving only 60/100 to Cryptotalk is very poor from anyone, I would give at least 80/100 and this just because there are many improvements that are planned to be made, that will help the forum become a forum used even more than bitcointalk.
  20. Monero was doing fine until it got delisted from Bittrex together with other privacy coins, this delisting was considered very strict from Bittrex and it is only the exchange that knows what happened and why they did that, however it has not been followed by more delistings so probably it was an isolated case. Monero as a privacy coin that works will be met with regulations and it is possible to be banned by exchanges in the USA and other countries.
  21. Cryptocurrencies were a way out of serious financial problems for many, even to some of us that had very little to invest it was proven to be a good income, however the risk and needs didn't allow many of the people that are looking to earn online to make too much, but still it was ok and nice to make. Maybe with more time in this and more effort we can all make more and be financial stable just with cryptocurrencies.
  22. The extra security offered by 2fa and opt is important because it adds a lot of security to our accounts, but it is also not completely protecting against attacks, there have been sim card attacks taking control of mobile devices and fake websites where the authenticator code is also stolen with the rest credentials.
  23. This is very interesting, how can this happen, I had no idea a cryptocurrency could be formed in the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, it is known that smart contracts can be enabled in the bitcoin chain and in the chain of forks, but I had no idea this could happen. Do we know if they released or minted tokens in the BCH blockchain for USDT?
  24. Many times especially as a beginner I traded poorly, regretted the trade and exited at a loss, this was a result of having made bad analysis or no analysis at all and just trying to get lucky buying what looks like a good price, although the doubts and the incorrect amount led to losses that later of course recovered. Having patience helps most trades we make.
  25. I think there is the bootstrap.dat file that is available for download from a torrent but it is not updated regularly so it will be missing days of blocks. However, this is very technical scenario of a collapse for Bitcoin that would make the network useless and has never happened in any cryptocurrency. Also it will require to synch to other nodes so what you ask is something only a Bitcoin dev could answer.
