  1. All these wallets come with problems that you will find out later, although for normal use probably you will not face any problems. The big problem is always with KYC and how some wallets demand this, while getting hacked in the end and all the private information is leaked to scammers. I'd be more careful in holding more than we can lose from crypto.
  2. You buy when prices drop too much, just because there will always be some buyers and you wait for prices to go up again to sell. If this takes three years you probably lose time and could have invested better. But for most of the world they don't have anything else to invest. Nobody trusts their stock exchanges full with bad companies that are never rising and only a few countries can access the wall street stocks.
  3. You can secure your Yobit account using 2fa, your cryptotalk account should have a password that is very strong and don't disclose your email to anyone, then should be fine and have no problem.
  4. I have stopped looking for investing at all, it has been very bad so far with many hidden dangers that we don't know about and when investing in websites and not in crypto that we hold in wallets it is very often that a scam or a hack can happen and we could lose our money.
  5. A diverse crypto portfolio having a big allocation in altcoins would probably make you feel you are losing the Bitcoin bull run while being stuck with altcoins that may even lose value. The bull run is about Bitcoin always and the altcoins have their moments.
  6. It was open sale with prices being lower from the recent ath for days and many took this opportunity to buy, most that bought were again institutions and I don't know if this trend will continue but judging by the stock prices these guys are pumping so hard, I think it will be the same for Bitcoin.
  7. Grayscale is the only way for institutions and wealthy investors that cover some standards set by the SEC to buy cryptocurrencies. Laws and regulations prevent these big funds to invest in cryptocurrencies using the crypto exchanges directly. Grayscale is creating what is called Trust and gives shares to investors of this trust that represent a percentage of each coin they offer. The market is in a state of institutional fomo, what is there for institutions to buy? What is offered by Grayscale and only that. These are the coins Grayscale has created Trusts to be able to sell them in the form of shares to the institutions, the market share and more. How I see the bull run today, if it is to be extended in the next year it will be mostly about these cryptocurrencies, XRP might have a problem with the SEC and more can follow, Horizen is a privacy coin and it can also be in trouble at some time. The grayscale trust products as we see in the list are based mostly in Ethereum and Bitcoin. This is because these trust are SEC registered and have better rules from the rest. XRP is not going to be SEC registered and may be even dropped from Grayscale if problems continue. But it is now just in 22million in holdings. Ethereum Classic also has 80 million dollars in holdings by Grayscale and perhaps a reason it didn't dive to zero as it was 51% attacked many times so far. The digital assets held by Grayscale show to us the percentages of diversifying we should have in the market. They are close to the market dominance of Bitcoin, 70% and recommended to hold this much Bitcoin. We see institutions are interested in Bitcoin and Ethereum while not touching the rest. This may change if for example ZCash or Litecoin trust of Grayscale becomes SEC reporting as Bitcoin and Ethereum. More about this: https://grayscale.co/
  8. You withdraw xrp to your wallet but is this the coin you wanted to invest in, since you used a wallet to withdraw then how are you going to switch it back to bitcoin or ethereum which was what you wanted, as wallets don't offer trading, except from some that added this option lately.
  9. Of course nobody is exempt from any of the rules, there would be different set of rules then for each rank. It could be though that more are required from higher ranks and less for beginners but if this case is there then the payment would be also different. However we are in a very good environment today with very limited spam and the forum is doing ok.
  10. If you don't understand the difference between poor quality and good quality then you can only make average posts. I don't think anyone is banned for making an average post but if it is all very bad then I agree if any such decision is taken by the mods.
  11. I don't know if what you found is a blessing, for me the price of Bitcoin was and the increase it did this year and this helped me a lot to have some profit that I wouldn't be able to make it in the pandemic, however depending on your financial state and needs, it can be that Cryptotalk payments for posts can help some people that are very younger age and wanted to save a few extra dollars to buy something they needed, perhaps like a new computer after ten months of posting here.
  12. There are a lot of games that give fake impression they will pay in crypto but they don't. You don't need to test everything, when there is one that you can profit from it, then you will hear of it. The opportunities may come and go but these on android are all fake.
  13. I don't know of any competitions as this. What it means that there are events in night clubs and they giveaway crypto? In some conferences they do some giveaways but the conference attendance price is very high to buy just to get an nft. I don't know if this will help adoption although it will be if the crypto project has a few people to explain what to do to receive this promotion as most of the people won't know how.
  14. Make it useful as many are not. Just making posts that don't have value it means nothing, should be better to make good replies and posts or make no at all. There are many topics that someone might not know, replying just to thank is not very useful.
  15. There are many opportunities but even making at least something doesn't mean we have to either stop there and not look for better, or be pessimistic for losing those that we knew about, we can still make something so this is important, it would be worse if we risked too much with investing in dubious projects just because they were promoted a lot and losing there.
  16. The Bitcoin scams should just be called scams as they don't have anything to do with Bitcoin. If the scammers demanded dollars do we call them Dollar scams, of course not, so we should change our vocabulary to not make damage to Bitcoin this way, it is something that happens in everything valuable, it can be scammers would be asking for gold if it was easier for them to carry.
  17. This guy completely missed the point and thought that this was it and the markets would just disappear having all this development made to be done for nothing, although as usual all these people they are lost in the negativity and proven wrong again and again. The cryptomarkets thrived in 2020 and many that said same things were quick to edit, delete posts or leave completely.
  18. As I see it the lightning network will have increased privacy when compared with the blockchain. This private messaging services could become something extra that we can use if we want to, completely different from payments. It is another reason we will need the lightning network and I hope that we will hear soon for adoption from more business and companies.
  19. A 51% attack will not make problems to the users, it will make the blockchain to be considered not secure and create problems in exchanges dealing with double transactions, while price should go down a lot, although in some cases we have seen that price was not impacted no matter many 51% attacks happened in some cryptocurrencies.
  20. McAfee had a lot in his mind and he tried to do a lot with crypto, making companies that could succeed although failed for many reasons including his personality, he wasn't the right person to promote crypto in 2017 and he just turned everything to a joke. While I respect him totally for whatever he is doing and I find him intelligent and nice person it is better that he distanced from Bitcoin.
  21. I did not understand how you made profit from the NLC2 cryptocurrency or what this is but I saw the chart and perhaps there is a way to trade it with profit if you set orders and hope to find someone to buy it way higher than you bought. I don't trade in Dcoin and don't know that exchange to begin doing anything like that, but you probably found a way to make some money, hopefuly a big sum and not just a few dollars.
  22. I also think this forum is very important. It helps many people to learn about Bitcoin and it is a way to begin for many beginners that only recently found cryptocurrencies. It has people from all cultures and races, yet we all have many things in common, and those that enter late they also have common goals.
  23. Paypal did something that benefited them but it given a boost to Bitcoin too. It is very difficult to know what the long term effect will be as they use Bitcoin as a utility token and not allow withdrawals or deposits so I'm not interested to use Paypal for any reason.
  24. So you took something that a bank said about Bitcoin, explained that the price somehow has to do with trust when this is the exact opposite, and then put your own opinion again that XRP investments are not based on speculation! What a joke...
  25. I wonder how Ripple will manage to manipulate the price and reach $0,60 again in a few days, as this market of some altcoins is unrealistic and driven by just a few whales while most of volumes are fake, as the most numbers of Ripple transactions that are repeated by the same accounts to produce fake interest in this coin.
