The Uniqueness of the ERC-721 Token

We can imitate rare collections worthy of rare items with Ethereum tokens, and each token follows the standard in the Ethereum community referred to as ERC-721. Ethereum Request for Comments 721 or ERC-721 is Ethereum Improvement Proposal introduced by Dieter Shirley at the end of 2017. This is a proposed standard that allows smart contracts to operate as tradable tokens, such as ERC-20. Token ERC-721 is unique because of its non-interchangeable nature (Non-fungible Token or NFT).

Some online marketplaces exclusively facilitate the exchange of in-game items. However, there is no clear concept of ownership of assets in gaming, other than believing in a gaming company as a custodian of player assets. Through NFT, you can have characters, skins, and in-game customization outside the settings as third parties, including game developers.

Thanks to ERC-721, each token becomes unique.

Digital scarcity will be revolutionary. There will be a new scenario where the game does not operate on the network but your token becomes a ticket to be part of the game.

ERC-721 tokens are extremely unique but I have not used or got any ERC-721 tokens yet. I have got so many ERC-20 tokens by participating in so many airdrop programs from the different newcomers projects in the crypto world. I hope in future I will be also using that type of tokens.

There are two big difference between ERC-721 token and other coins like first is one erc721could not be replace by other erc721 token. Second this token could not be divided into small fractions like other coins. If this token goes to big price like bitcoin then it would be difficult for people to buy whole coin instead of small part. Also in this case it could not be used as payment for daily purchases.

ERC 721 tokens are unique and used in many dapps and games. Although the Enjin standard ERC 1155 looks more promising. Both protocols are used for what we call non-fungible tokens NFT's but ERC 1155 also allows fungible tokens. The diferences are documented in this link:
