Here is really the best to make that, but if you want to know what must you do for learning a project is legit or not. You must read white-paper of the project. Maybe make some research or create any topic about the platform that there is anybody who heard about the project. In my view it is enough.

Because nowadays it is hard to easily trust crypto campaign and projects because some of them are scam. Wait , mate. I am working very hard into it because I have to give all authentic information on this forum. I am trying to expose scammer's cheating tricks by using malwares, extensions, malicious applications etc.

I don't know of any good indicator buy I will advise you to always make sure you do good research about any project you want to join because most of them are scammers, so know the previous history of the project and that of the developers also the roadmap and whitepapar.
