There all total 21 million bitcoin and all bitcoin would be  mined around 2140. What will happen to mining? Would it still exists?

 

Do not forget that transaction fees are paid also to miners including the mined 12.5 bitcoin. At the time, there would be no more mined bitcoin but miners would profit from the transaction fees which might be higher

This is true, bitcoin mining may end, but bitcoin will not end and will still exist, so the need for minerals will remain in order to record all bitcoin transactions on the blockchain network.This process requires fees and can be high at that time as you said so it will remain profitable.

You're right, there are no more mining activities for Bitcoin after 2040 (all Bitcoin has been mined). so the miners only get results from transaction costs which are certainly more expensive than current transaction costs. of course the price of Bitcoin will be more expensive. but I don't know how much.

After all Bitcoin mined. For miner have a choice to keep mining Bitcoin or not. Maybe for some miner will going to mining altcoin, where still not mined all.

But for who still mining Bitcoin, they only get reward by fees every transaction.

That is maybe small, but can help some miner to survive. Because the competition every miner will decreased. Also the difficult maybe will decreased also.

There will be a new way to keep the BTC going when it all gets mined. If there are no miners there are no transactions as miners are the one who verify the transactions so something has to be done in order to keep the BTC system rolling. Technology advances quickly and we have no idea what may happen in 2040.

The bitcoin blockchain will not be running if mining stops. So mining will continue till no one needs bitcoin. But that is impossible IMO.

After all bitcoin has been mined the miners will only receive transaction fees as a reward. I just hope that the minimum price of 1 bitcoin is 500k USD.
