Samsung Doubles Down On Bitcoin And Crypto—Gemini Exchange Integration Revealed

So Samsung will apparently make it's own Blockchain Wallet available to US users now, and announced it will be partnering with the exchange Gemini as well, which would allow users to transfer their money from the exchange to the wallet immediately, the managing director of operations at Gemini said this:

"For millions of Samsung users across the U.S. and Canada, being able to store crypto directly on their phones lowers another barrier to entry,"

and i see where he's going for, as more and more mobile apps for wallets appear,since the wallet itself is integrated with Samsung's own Galaxy series of phones, having a wallet that is integrated with the phone itself seems more secure as well.

do you guys think that with Samsung showing this much interest in crypto that it may have a positive impact on prices?

I wonder if they are going to add Nifty Gateway too. It would make sense to trade NFT collectables too. They are probably going to be a huge market in next phase

@rekter i wouldn't be surprised if they do, but i think they would wait a bit with it first before adding support for them, like testing the waters a bit, they wouldn't want to invest in something that doesn't show potential, i mean they waited this long to start believing in crypto

It is no doubt a good news for US and Canadian Samsung and cryptocurrency lovers. But on the price, I don't believe it will have such effect on the market. I see it more as a way to get more customers onboard through cryptocurrency. If you ask me, I will prefer other mobile wallets (cold wallet).

that's the thing though, introducing more people into crypto could lead to higher demands, it won't creat a massive bull run that's for sure but could help increase it

Samsung seems to make some moves ahead of their competition on mobile devices. Certainly I am glad to hear news as this, but I remember last year we had something similar with Enjin celebrating for some sort of partnership that we still haven't found what was about. Anyway talks do not matter, it is action that brings value. We've heard a lot in the past about major partnerships of many projects with big corporations and nothing substancial. The crypto world takes a rumour and multiplies it's magnitude by at a least a hundred times what it is worth.

unfortunately this is true, but Samsung does seem to be actually doing something, a few days they released a phone with a quantum chip for blockchain as well, let's hope this collaboration ends up in our favor

that's what we are hoping, in general a cold wallet (Offline/Hardware based) are more secure since they aren't always connected to the internet, so in theory it should definitely by more secure if it's integrated in the phone hardware

I have really heard this news and this will be good for encryption and will help the encryption reach more people through the use of new phones and internal wallets in them. Certainly, these wallets will be safe and it is good for Samsung to start supporting encryption

I agree with you that this development will drag many USA and Canadians into dealing with cryptocurrency especially those who will own these Samsung phones and it will also create more customers who are crypto lovers and users to come on board to buy these phones.

Samsung is trust brand in electronic market, and few months back I heard Samsung also interested to launch their own coin, but I have no updates but already sumsung declared they support crypto currency, now they create crypto wallet in their mobile means they want to help increase crypto users.

That is something i wasn't expecting quite often but i was sad after reading it was only going to be made for U.S. only and not every other country =/

 

I am sure that if they allowed such blockchain wallet to many more countries as a globalization service company, Samsung would grow even further as their own marketing would go sky rocket.

this is really well to see that Samsung and HTC work in field of crypto currency also . I also have S20 plus device recently i purchase it but I didn't Want mining through such phones , I think S20 crypto wallets is really good and having a good security .

Samsung is doing really great and they would be including the Crypto wallet in further device as in the flagship of this year -S20 and N20 series it was included too. And mobile phone company collaborating with Crypto exchanges is good for both business.
