Hope this topic will catch the eyes of others for them to make the use of quote selection clear to them. Quoting is one issue that have been still don't pay attention by other members even lots of member tried to educate them about this. hoping they learned from this post.

Even without "quote selection" feature you still could quote some part of a post instead of quoting the whole post by just deleting extra texts, I occasionally still come upon some post specially from new users that quote very long post but I also see admins doing their job and removing some of those posts, they really make the topic and that page a mess with just one post like that.

This is really amazing idea, I also want to write in quote section because I seeing everyday a lots users are using this feature. Maximum users are using this feature to tell someone your replies is good or not and some tips about that topics.

I use this option when the Post is really big and long I just quote what I want to talk about, it's a good feature that the majority ignore the existence. That's good that you make post about it to make them remember this. Thanks to share this

If some topics are too long, I really do not quote the entire topic but I might choose some section to quote from the posts in this way, other members may not find it too hard to scroll down and to read other's comments under the same topic.

This feature is very important because it will help to clarify the section of the post that you are quoting and thereby give your own post more meaning and usefulness.

I never knew of such feature, I never knew that we can qoute just a selection instead of quoting the whole topic, this is really cool, because most times the topics created by members are too long and quoting the whole topic is bad so I would try using this method when I wants to quote a post

To make topics easier to read for the sake of future readers, we should use this, feature instead of quoting the whole text,  we can just make use of the "Quote selection" tool. It works well no matter the device used on the platform.

Most of users here are not reading the topic and go for replying nonsense here. I guess they are only here for the money and not giving a try to learn some knowledge here. The topic is very helpful for me since i don't know then that i can quote specific sentence on the topic.

I think that everyone should rather quote the selection as opposed to quoting the entire topic post. The quote function is supposed to be there so that you can respond to one specific part of the topic and answer that in your comment however if you quote the entire topic, the response looks lengthy for no reason and no one can tell which part you are responding to.

You should quote the important part that you want to respond to or some idea and this in order to avoid the quote being long and disturbing the rest of the members and affect the appearance of the forum

At the beginning of the forum, I was quoting the whole topic and replying to it. I only knew after a few days that I was not doing what I needed, I mean, you are not supposed to quote the whole topic. Quote your sentence either useful or trying to correct a mistake . This way you do it if you want to comment, but do not generalize about the whole topic only a few things. Also quote some sentences in order to confirm the point of your appearance in one of your publications

Yeah that's true, there are members who quote the whole posts even if its long, and i am not laying i also did this thing before knowing this futures, but its better only to quote the spasific area that we have idea to comment.

Sometimes the topic are so long That if you quote it then it will take a long page which means that if in that post there are 50 replies And everyone quote it Then it will be very difficult for other users to scroll down the page. And the reply to the post may go unseen by most of the people. So better use the feature to quote the line or para.

Oh i don't usualy use that feature because i simply quote it as full and then delete the content but i see i was wrong making that way as it wastes precious time.

 

I will probabily start using that quote selection from time to time now thank you for sharing 😉

Exactly when the topics are too long and then people quote all the paragraphs and lines it makes the reading complicated because its very difficult to understand then for which line you are posting your comment.

Thank this is a good idea, I have a lot of time on this forum but I have never used this option, but generally I dont use a completely quote to reply, but is useful for others to use this option.

You are right, there are many members who quote the post completely, and this is very annoying, as many members will find it difficult to read posts because of the long quotes, so it is better that we quote the important things that we want to write ideas about.

Your words are correct, the whole topic should not be quoted because that will cause inconvenience to members and affect the appearance of the forum and for this you should only quote the part you want to respond to
