People still think crypto is gambling because crypto isn't only digital asset. But actually it's more or less gambling we can consider trading as a gambling and even there are a lot of gambling sites which can make our money double but gambling is very risky.

I think they are thinking about it because they do not know exactly how we work in trading cryptocurrencies because before every transaction we enter in we use many technical analysis methods to know the correct entry points.

there are also other ways like mining and trading which are not gambling.

While trading in general is not gambling, what Bitmex and lately Binance does certainly is. Leverage is adding gambling features in trading and just increases risks to make it depend on luck. Odds are that in a highly speculative market as crypto and stocks using leverage reduces the traders odds. Investing and perhaps trading major swings or buying low reduces risks and the gambling factors.

It's not a serious gambling but it is still related to gambling in one way as the price is not certain at any point you are always at risk with your money to losse, so it is a type of gambling.

Maybe they refer to some gambling games where crypto is the payment for every bet or games. For me crypto is not only about gambling but also for some good benefits of knowing and having it like in investing.

Cryptocurrency is not as the same with the gambling composes of casinos and different games etc, But the risk on it is always there. so you are still gambling into when you will sell your coins and when to buy them again. Gambling and crypto trading give no assurance on what will be the prices or outcome tomorrow so basically both needs luck.

Many people think that crypto is cheating and gambling-like a casino! The fact is that it's just a rumor, and I think it's the fault of human psychology. When someone cheats us on the Internet, and many people think that this is a fraud , and cryptocurrency is also a fraud! and you will all be deceived. And those who won - they just got lucky, it's luck! Or else you're a liar, too!

They may have there own personal reasons for saying that Cryptocurrency is gambling but to me it is not and I think it is lack of understanding that makes them said so, earning good profit in cryptoworld is real but one has to make sure they have experience which will help them earn.

Short term trading an asset that you don't know anything about and you are merely just trading it for profit is gambling, on the other hand if your are an investor and a long term trader and you did enough research about the project before jumping in it then it definitely can not be considered as gambling since you went through the fundamentals of the project as well, it's always more profitable in the long run to be an investor instead of just trading short term.

The very volatile crypto price sometimes gives big profits, sometimes even gives big losses, making some people who don't know about crypto think that crypto is gambling. Though it is the price fluctuation in the crypto market and someone who owns crypto can become rich due to these price fluctuations. I think that if they knew about the cryptocurrency market, they would understand that crypto is not gambling.

First... it is ignorance from them, they just compare trading as gambling because first they do not believe in cryptocurrencies (as I mentioned "ignorance from them"), second they liken it to Forex (yes it is) and they believe that Forex is also gambling... this is also one of the reasons.
