Android versus IOS

Recommended Posts

I have an Apple iPhone (actually two, but one is my work phone, supplied by my employer) and an Android tablet. I only put my mobile wallet (BRD wallet) on my iPhone, and only trade from the iPhone or my laptop (runs Linux, btw).

The reasons?

- I believe that IOS is more secure than Android

- there is stricter control on the Apple App Store

Am I too cautious in not doing anything money related (also banking) from my Android device? Or do you agree with my preference for IOS (regarding safety)?

Interested to hear your opinions!

ayos will be safer in this regard, since they do not have fake applications that can steal your data, but the problem is that with android everything is easier

Is it?

I agree that the user interface is different, and that it is easier to root your phone if you want (but you probably don't want that on a phone you use for trading!) ... but I am not sure if Android is easier than IOS.

Maybe I am naive, but I think that Apple performs a stricter quality control on apps in their app store than Google does. Plus, on Android, you might be tricked to install an app from a non-trusted source.

iOS is more noob friendly. Everyone can use it with ease. Android has more security loopholes but it is also more configurable and is more powerful OS than iOS. You have more freedom with Android. The iOS security advantage isn't a big deal as you can just get a decent AV on your Android and it is as safe as a PC with a top rated AV/IS like Kaspersky for example.

I love iOS and used iPhone for years, but just bought a Galaxy S10 couple days ago and got a year sub of Kaspersky IS on it. After 2 days I'm thinking why I didn't go android earlier.

That problem is easily fixed by a proper AV software that detects all fishy apps and other stuff.
I'd rather buy a Galaxy S10 for €700 which is a way more powerful phone than iPhone 11 which costs over €1000.

For me, Apple is a dictator of the past ... In his kingdom, censorship reigns supreme. Their phones are restrained and no customization is possible. Same for MacOSX. Android is not a father, its role is not to protect its "children" (users) against perverse strangers who offer treats ... It is everyone's responsibility to take basic precautions to protect themselves from scammers and viruses of all kinds.

Well, in terms of laptop, I more prefer Linux or MacOs. Its because most of the laptops that is been operated by Mac is virus-protected. It means that it is not vulnerable to any virus that hackers can use to enter or steal your money from your account. In terms of phone, I don't think Android and IOS has a big difference, because I also hear to other people that even they use iphone, they are been hacked by hackers.

IOS is supposedly said to be much safer and their security systems are much better than android. However, the use of android is much more user friendly and in fact they are able to develop apps a lot faster for android. I think it all depends on the app. Only install apps from trusted dealers on your smart phone/

Most of the people prefer Android over iOS because according to me...... Android is the more cheaper mobile as compared to the iOS. Android is very popular and easily accessible in the local market but ios Is not readily available .

The iOS developer version is obviously having the upper hand, in terms of security against the Android version, but having to use the Android is more open and free to use, when compared on how the iOS is strict on some funny kind of Rules when on their devices

Android OS is more often targeted by the hackers but iOS has not got that type of dangerous attack yet. iOS is widely considered to be the most secure OS. Users of iOS should have to purchase most of the apps from the store so there can be the less chance of infected app.

I've used apple's products for many years. Lately I switched to android and I have to admit that Apple's product is better. It is more secure and protects privacy. Meanwhile with android you will probably have to spent hours to find out that it is impossible to remove the gmail account you've used, and your privacy means nothing at all. Everything you do from your android is being recorded and stored in their servers and your private data probably sold to marketers and advertisers. Shameful tactics from google.

both are safe, the safety of your device is only up to you and it doesn't depend on the device. you need to be careful when downloading apps and when browsing sites, and you are the one who need to take the right precautions to avoid problems. so ios or android are the same

Believe me when I say to you that I never tried ios phones, in my life I used android and I don't think I can adopt with the other system, I know that ios system is more secure than Android, but without forgetting that Android is easy to use not like ios because I find the second one more complicated, android system is my first choice and always will be

IOS is in the middle of security with no fake apps in their App Store.  And Apple phone security is more than Android devices.  But using Android phones is very easy and people around the world use android phones.

You are right but this for newbies. I use android but I am careful of malware. Just also know that online wallets are online wallets and can be attacked. Ne it iPhone or Android.

True. I have a Ledger Nano S for long term coin storage.

My strategy:

1) keep EUR and cryptos I want to trade in the short term on my favorite exchange

2) keep crypto that I want to move quickly, and from everywhere in the BRD wallet

3) keep crypto I intend to HODL in the hardware wallet

That way, most of my funds are in the Ledger wallet. The sheet with the seed phrase is stored securely in my house.

Comparison of Android versus IOS
IOS is the most secure app store in its apps, and IOS store doesn't allow to add apps randomly
And as for Android, anyone can easily place their app on the store

THINK POSITIVE

Both are secured and Android is the leading mobile operating system. It depends with which mobile you are using because there are many mobiles which are good than iphone and they are operated by android.

I don't know really about the IOS related wallets. Because I am a android  user and i guess a lot of people are also using android wallets for the storage of cryptocurrencies. But maybe IOS is way more easier than the android. I use Coinbase wallet in my android and it runs smoothly for me i guess. But i wish someday i will use IOS as a wallet.

Yes what you said is absolutely correct, ios is more strict in monitoring legitimate applications and not like Android as there are a lot of fraudulent applications

Me too and all the traders I know are using a wallet on the Android phone system It is known that during the recent period Android has become easier and safer in addition to the ability to modify the wallet options when changing the mobile phone As for ISO it is complicated and we can not find and download its applications easily
