Allow me to lock my topics

So far, the topic lock feature is not available to members and only moderators can lock any topic they want so I think if you communicate with a supervisor and ask him to lock a specific topic for you then he will do so

I think so. If they allow us to lock our own topic, we could really help the moderators to their job in this forum. I want to help the moderators here too while earning money so there is possibility the forum will last for long term.

Of course, they always examine or filtering every post in this forum. Moderators always warned those people who intentionally make a spam or copy pasting post here so we don't need to worry about the spamming behavior of the users here because moderators are managing it.

Please remember that the moderators are reasonable and therefore if you have a good topic they will not delete your topic based on the copy and paste comments that are made within your topic. In this case the actual comments will be deleted. I do agree that there should be a feature to lock the topic, however if you request for the topic to be locked by the admin, the topic is more often than not locked, thereby preventing any further comments on your topic.

Self locking of our topics for further commenting was going to be  great if it was to be brought into consideration by our admins but it can also reduce the number of posts to comment on thus making the work here a little bit difficult.

This is good  idea to stop spammers from copy  pasting.   If we lock our topics we can can stop them.  We should allow  only  few people . Administration  should  add this feature.

You're very right and I think this is a serious suggestion that we should all ask the moderators because tamnbs still comment on answers that no longer make sense because it's been a long time

The problem is serious as many posts are being deleted, while others appearing again. Covering the gap of deleted posts per day to keep participating in the campaign reduces the time available to create something good.

there have been lot sof disscusion about this problem and i think closing/locking topics should be given that permision to the uthors of that particulat topic  and i think that is a great and must have feature for this forum in order to let authors self moderate their own topics.

Yes.it's true that before some days the number of spammers were increased so much.But the admins and modaretors of this forum are so much active.They done their duty perfectly.Now you could hardly find any spammers.

This option should be added because many members reply  old topics which should not be replied. One of example is that when i was new i post a topic how to use this forum. Members are still quoting my topic when i become a full member on the forum. They are still telling me how to use this forum, however they are junior to me.

If your topic is useful, so the moderators wouldn't delete it if there are useless comments! So don't worry about this issue, the moderators are doing their best here and they are fighting the spammers here..

Self lock our topics ii really good feature mate when this feature add in this forum,.when our topic reach curtain number of comments then we lock the topic and avoid spammers,its really useful but moderators also doing great job to deleted useless topics and they care to not spread spam.

I think we really need the administration to allow self moderating of topics. Sometimes you write a good topic only to see members spamming and going off topic. It will be good if we are given such power so we can make our topics clean and well organized for future readers.

Only moderators will be allowed to lock some specific topics on this forum. If we , ourselves able to lock our own topics that we have created, I think it might still bring the chaos on this forum. So this existing feature is good that only moderators can lock the topics.

I think it is a good suggestion and it may be implemented in the future in the forum CryptoTalk, this will reduce spam and copy and paste topics by some members and the forum admin team deletes these topics daily as possible

@MCSGlegend It will be good, there are some topics topics that needs to be locked, there are some I will not even open at all but just for other members to read and gain, also, self merited topics are good, both suppose to be on this forum.

I do often heard some members saying that when they report members their post is being deleted I don't know the reason.

Hi. You can simply tag one of the admins and ask him to lock whatever topic you want. There is not a function for locking topics, not yet.

Well indeed this is a must have thing. I have stopped doing more topics as the moment i would report some bad reply i got my topic deleted and that's what it makes for Users to be posting more often than regular topicing.

 

Basically this has been asked many times and people still waiting for it.

Let's just wait a couple more weeks, months, years and see if there is something changing about it 😉

the only moderation you can do for now is delete the thread you created. but locking it down seem not possible. this is the reason why some threads reaches up to 7K replies.

I don't think it is possible, because if members lock topics, new members and beginners will not be able to answer topics, we should leave the issue of topic lock to supervisors.

It is possible but only if they maximum posts in a day is also reduced, a good example is to just make 10 posts in a day. We will be to lock our topic but most people will not lock there topic and just  10 post in a day will be good.
