If we talk about whole worlds economy, crypto currency can help it because crypto currency can make the whole world's financial system better. I hope that mass adoption may happen sooner as what we've expected.

Yeah I've read some article regarding this. They cited Venezuela as the country that has the most least valued currency in the world. Also their inflation rate is so high.
