The age of a coin is not important, the popularity is the thing that causes success or failure. Ten years is not a long time to call something old but since crypto is a totally new concept, bitcoin can be called the mother of all coins in the market. The term old school should be used when the current generation transfer their bitcoins to the next generation and decades later they talk about how bitcoins were mined in those times and how difficult it was to supply bitcoin. In the future, bitcoin can be mined with very light and silent devices and the current devices will be called old-fashioned!

Thank you for simple explanation about that. l think also 10 years are not a long time to call BTC as old. BTC is so young and popularity of crypto world is increasing from day to day. 🙂

It's all about bitcoin development which causes the op to call bitcoin is old-fashioned. But actually, the bitcoin core wallet is still updated. Bitcoin doesn't need to be developed anymore because bitcoin is primarily used on any platform.

Well my friend, I do not think this is what is meant by the topic, the topic talks about the necessity of making updates on bitcoin because there are new coins that carry more advanced technologies than bitcoin, and bitcoin was last developed 8 years ago and there has been no development until now so it has become an old technology .
