In my country, owning Cryptocurrency making you a criminal.

The Failure to codify cryptocurrencies, remains one of the most serious vulnerabilities exploited by some criminals to steal money.Today there are also cryptocurrency trading platforms that operate in the same manner and decide to close whenever they want, because they can be followed up by any special security apparatus in countries that do not legalized cryptocurrencies.

For example here where i'm living, one guys get robbed by two fake people that claim they want to buy a big amount of BTC but in they want to meet in person, because of the high risk of losing money using internet method like local bitcoin or other platform that work with the same way, but the end of story was dramatically, because when he find that this guys want only stole his money he call the police and they catch all the three guys and bring them to jail, two for the try to still coins, and the other one who was victim  become criminal because of the holding of crypto.

So my friends what is your situation in your country?

Yes not just you but me too, à lot of countries prohibited dealing with bitcoin at any time, even now this coin is important and recognized by many big companies online but this is not enough so far

may be misused so the government considers it criminal. in my country the situation remains conducive, because some people use crypto as an investment asset and some use it to become an official exchanger in my country as an exchange of crypto to fiat. no crime whatsoever.

Yeah, i strongly agree to you. Because not all of the country are accepting bitcoin because government in some countries are afraid in bitcoin because of some reasons. That's what i think.

yes dear, in many countries, bitcoin is still illegal and they recognize users as a criminal. But i can't refrain from using bitcoins and i always use private network for this.

And that is why Bitcoin needs to encourage them and to make them see the value of Bitcoin and its security is high. Most countries do not legalized owning of Bitcoin because since it's in the Internet, it is hard for government to control and monitor it.

I think in the first place btc code is an ope code that any one can modify to fit their business, since it it decentralized by its nature, it's not right then to blame the btc code, whether crypto currencies or fiat currencies, crime is always present, it is our own personal discretion to safeguard our self against currencies crime.

In our country crypto currencies is not as limited like in other countries since we are in a democratic country.

my country has no issues with crypto but your friend should have been more cautious with his crypto because you dont just meet anyone and even if you have to it must be in public and far away from your house.

So which of the three got the harsher punishment? The two robbers who did a legitimate crime, or the victim whose only "crime" is possession of Bitcoins? If the latter, that would be a very unfair punishment.

 

I see at least a couple of my own countrymen here. And yes, we have a de facto "green light" here when it comes to cryptocurrencies; in fact, in a news I picked up somewhere, our government is currently working on a "crypto city" of sorts somewhere near my area.

in my country, bitcoin has no regulation. so it will be okay if i hold and buy bitcoins for now. but a few months ago, there are ransomware virus attacked some computer in a company, they lock all files in that computer and they want a bitcoin as payment to unlock the file. then my country assume that bitcoin is used by terrorist and criminal.

I heard that in Russia they also want to introduce a ban on cryptocurrency. It's sad, of course. But I find a bypass it will be enough simple and easy! As it seems to me, there are a lot of scammers now, they are not so easy to calculate now, it's sad ;c

In our country holding of coins is just okay for them and I wish the scenario still exist in the future. I'm just afraid that one day the Crypto Currency in our place may become illegal because of some issues.

The situation in my country for now is still quite conducive if someone like me holds and owns several cryptos, but here the local government has not authorized cryprocurrency as a transaction tool, they do not prohibit it if it is only used as a digital asset.

Well, that's sad to hear that some country treat someone who holds crypto-like that, in my country which is the Philippines the cryptocurrency is legal nor illegal which means we can freely use crypto currency in transactions, in fact, some establishment and organization here slowly adopting the use of crypto and the young age here are exploring the crypto world by doing crypto jobs to earn, for me in my circle of friends we all use cryptocurrency and every transaction or thing we use crypto because its more easier and faster so I could say we are lucky that our country is not that strict when it comes to crypto currency, I hope other countries accept it too to prevent this kind of happenings.

yea some countries dont mess around when it comes to crypto because i think i read in some countries you could actually go to jail and pay money as a fine for owning crypto. they must be really threatened by bitcoin.
