How to end a topic that's overrun with bot posts

My friend, until now, there is no lock feature for topics within the forum. Moderators are the only ones who can do that, but I think it will be added in the future.

True but I don't think bots can post on this site. By the way moderators do their best to remove such post but we can assist them by reporting such post so that the forum should be more of useful post than trashy post

I dont think there is a way to stop bots, maybe you delete the post or asking for support to the moderators and admins because they are our leaders here who can help us in anything concern with this forum.

I had the similar problem, emphatically in my lawsuit the thread i've started stopped to be an concrete one. As around of users alleged - at hand are only two options: to score through it or to inquire the mod to seal off it.

Nowbthere is a option that you can locked your topocs..if you loccked your topics then nobody can post on yout topic...so when you think that your post is overruns the  locker it

I really don't think it is possible .If this is possible moderator deleted that comments which is post by the bot.And the bots may banned by the moderator. Don't worry moderator are monitor each and every post.

Of course there is a stop, pointless spam that runs on crypto-tal. The cryptotalk administration has tools on it to prevent these actions.

You should just closed the topic that will be the easiest way for you to stop them from actually filling it with shit.

I have to agree, they should find some solutions for this. It must put a lot of work on the forum moderators, to adjudged and go through all the gibberish, and decide which one to be paid and which one are not to be paid. But then there is no solutions to this problem, almost all paid to post forum face this problem.

My friend, we cannot lock our topic. This feature is only available to moderators. If we want to lock the topic, we have to ask the moderators or delete the post after we receive the answer to our questions.

There is a lot of user who use bot to post in this forum you can see that in here comment just copy past and without any meaning

Those type of post which behind the mask of the title,  which doesn't even make sense have being filtered by the forum admins, as those type of post where nearly every where on the forum. And Even the users doing such have also being limited also

Even if I hate spam and useless posts, I think the authority to delete posts should be reserved for the moderators. If the topic starters are able to delete responses themselves, I am sure people will find a way to misuse that.

Until now, this forum does not provide a feature to lock topics for members. If you want to stop a topic, you can do that by deleting the topic or communicating with a supervisor and asking them to lock the topic.

You can't do that as long as it is not your topic, you cannot delete it. You can only take action like that on a topic you posted. What you just have to do is report spamming. What you just have to do is report spammers, taking action is not for the members, rather it is the work ofadministrators

I don't think there is a way for the members to manually stop a post or lock a post to prevent further content. However many of the bot posts are likely to be deleted by the admins, therefore it should be a cleaned topic once the moderators review the comments in the topic. Alternatively you can request the admin or moderators to close the topic, in which case they probably will.

Just write to the moderator to close it, if there are more than 40% of such messages, the moderator will do this and delete spam messages that were written by bots.

Only the admins can stop or end a topic that is believed to have been run by a bot and as for us what we can do is only report such posts to the admins if noticed because we don't have any authority to lock or deleted any post in this forum.

I think there are many moderators doing their hard job looking for those members who doing the spam here in this best forum Cryptotalk, but I think we should also help to report those spammers for our good also.

This post was about a past problem that has been dealt with. Probably some new members don't know it, but it was in fact happening. Bots where overrunning many posts and posting complete nonsense, like random words without any meaning or any connection to the topic. This has been dealt with successfully.
