This was the best message Satoshi could sent to mark the difficult era of the 2008-2012 economic crisis. Many countries suffered because of this like Portugal, Iceland, Greece, Cyprus and even Italy and Spain.

In other countries as in USA, GB measures were taken on bailing-out the banks by printing endless amounts of fiat currencies which in turn raised taxation on the middle-class and the poor.

The banksters took this fresh money and paid more bonuses for themselves, instead of trying to provide a better platform for investment and booming the economies. The USA needed to print ten times more of what was required to actually move their economy from recession and still all this money went to the stock-market leaving around 35% of their population close to poverty until today. Great Britain is exiting the European Union mainly as a result of this crisis. The other issues brought up, indeed have foundations but still Great Britain would never leave the EU if the effects of this crisis weren't of this significance.

Thank you for this wonderful addition, yes indeed the economic crisis of 2008-2012 almost toppled the world economy and the main reason for that is the link of the global economy to the American economy and the dollar. Therefore, Satoshi thought to save the world economically by decoupling the global economy and the dollar and the result was the most wonderful invention In history (bitcoin).

The control and power of modern governments comes from central banking monopolies over fiat and sap the wealth out of the economies.

 

It's not an unreadable speculation we'd be really close to a techno-utopia absent that drain on investment. The amount of money wasted is staggering.

You are known by the product you create. As of the letter, you can always interpret in ways, that you might connect with but if you look at bitcoin, what does it do. It provides a fast transaction medium, broker middle man free transaction, nominal fees per transaction, everything that present system don't provide. So irrespective of what the letter maybe interpreted as, there is no denying, that bitcoin was created to help mankind as a whole.

There isn't much information about Satoshi's true character. Also, many may not have heard of the symbolic message he left on the first Bitcoin block. He wanted to change the global financial system, and I think it did.
