If Google built a quantum computer and its specifications were extraordinary, I don't think it would affect Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, because I don't see a connection between the quantum computer and the blockchain, the computer is the computer while the blockchain is a network.

We do not know for beyond any doubt that a quantum computer may break the blockchain with bitcoin since it is still being created and the chance of it being exceptionally capable isn't so big.

When I heard this super computer I immediately thought about the Blockchain, due to its super fast computation compared to ordinary computer, it has a high chance to tamper the transaction in the Blockchain. But I think they will not commercialize it, they will only use it in scientific purposes, and if they do I think it would be costly and the only rich has a chance to acquire it.

Well, dear colleagues, I personally believe that the opinion is that there is still a long time for quantum computing to go against everything, therefore I think we should be calm for now, you never know

I am very in awe for the quantum computer and if any company makes it this wll be the best technology advance for the century. We are all hope for this because it will make everything better and bitcoin needs not to worry because there will be change in the code to protect it.

This is many years in the future and google or ibm are nowhere near the development of a working quantum computer. Any announcement made was very optimistic and the delays in the progress they have means this research will take 20 years and maybe more to complete, so we don't need to even think about it.

I don't  think the making of computer by any compnay will effect the marjet of cryptocurrency  in any way, it is not the event tgat can harm cryptocurrency,  so you do not need to worry regarding that.

We should not be afraid of quantum computers as there is no evidence of them to be soon produced first of all and secondly there will be upgrades if there are needed, there is already quantum cryptography and it can be used to create an enhanced security for bitcoin.

Quantum computer is said to be more safer than crypto block chain. Some claim it to be 10 times more safer and the time taken to reach private key will be longer to prevent crypto theft

Mate this is not happening next year or any year close, we might not be alive when this computer is structured and even if this happens it can be some weak version of what we were told today. I think we need to be on the ground and more realistic with our future predictions.

Both are different and we can see that if the BTC mining start on the quantum computer we can make good money through that becasue the BTC speed is so much high at that time and we can make good money through that easily and in free in a short time.

I've read a lot about quantum computers and found out that google has a prototype almost ready! But IBM that is also making one of these thinks that google hyped this and it was not actually a quantum computer. I hope that they will make one soon and I don't have fear for bitcoin from this. It will be used for better things.

These are in test, research and development still and nothing is ready yet but it needs many more years of this research to finally develop something that was unrealistic until recently. A quantum computer will be used in everything and will create better human conditions by solving many of our problems.

A quantum computer is impossible today as technology and I read there are estimates for 25-40 years in the future. But the recent developments are astonishing and nobody can be sure that one hasn't been developed already in some secret facility. We know for experiments to be in secret for many decades before going public.

I don't think there is any relation between bitcoin and quantum computer. Quantum computer are the future in digital technology while bitcoin is the future digital currency. Both have their own value.

We read about quantum computers and we will keep reading for years until we learn perhaps when we are old age that our grandkids want to buy one and then we can open our bitcoin wallet and see that we can buy one of these quantum computers for them and also a mansion and a few sports cars.

I don't think that those computer would actually destroy the economy of Bitcoin. I think those quantum computers aren't going to be used for mining and those are going to be only for private use and research only.

The current technology is not so advance to built Quantum computer but it can be possible in  future. Where the advance computer can dominate the crypto strongest coin BTC .And the block chain will need new upgrade to compete against quantum computer but it will be at higher level like defense security. Those computers will not be used against crypto decoding.

Quantum computers are for the solution of complex processes and are different from normal computers So you cannot earn bitcoins with these devices. I do not think of the effect that affects the cryptocurrency world.
