Is mining dead?

There are already several cryptocurrencies that are not mined. Does this mean that mining is becoming obsolete? To buy a huge amount of equipment, for a lot of money, while still taking into account the delivery time, and the payback is not the fastest

This is the utmost problem with mining now. Difficulty is decreasing too, so we are going to have extra profit when the coin prices will come back

Cryptocurrency mining has big problems and losses a lot of times, but we can't folk that mining is dead, it is still developing and will be better in the future (not better than 2017 Haha)

Pretty much. At least for the home miners because they can't afford cheap electricity like the big enterprises. Mining is all about getting the cheapest electricity. Other stuff like cooling, storing, mainteaning etc everybody can do these. Getting the cheap energy is the hardest part.

Well with the cryptocurrency price drop I believe that a lot of miners stopped mining because it became unprofitable for them, but still there are some miners for sure, at least the developers still mine to keep network operative.

If mining cannot be done, then how does the transaction will be processed? Yes Mining is dead because of low pay per hour and the cost of electricity is too huge. I too thought for free mining even on Android, but people suggested here not to mine as it is a waste of time.

Mining is not dead . 

But its getting hard to mine a coin because of price  so the block are a bit tough to solve. 

Electricity is the major reason you cannot see more miner activity but the mining process is successful till now 🙂

No, there is not any reason to be dead. Mining farms are still working properly. There isn't any problem causing mining process to be stopped. There is a competition between crypto miners to win block prizes. So they benefit from this process  all the time.

Mining at home on a normal computer or on a mobile device is definitely dead in my opinion. It's no longer profitable. You have to have a whole mining farm in order to make any profit, but still the amount of power necessary, doesn't really make it all that worth while.

Mining is not dead. Currently mining is indeed less profitable because electricity and maintenance costs are greater than revenue due to falling coin prices. At present there are indeed many miners who prefer to leave their mining but that does not mean mining is dead. When the price of a coin begins to experience bullish, the miners will definitely re-mining coins again. Currently mining is only paused.

I'm 100% confident that mining can never die, but I only wish to advise investors to first do a market research, and choose a solid project that they are passionate about that makes sense to the investor and the become a good contributor to the project by not only mining the coin but also become a pioneer of the project, and you'll also be in profit since you keep following the project white paper and you can see the dedication in the project team for success... That my friends is the short cut... Honestly my opinion.

Just because some coins are not mined anymore it doesn't mean mining is dead. People don't mine coins that are worthless, they mine coins like Bitcoin that have big value and bring profits

wouldn't say that it is actually dead nowadays, but it is going to die some day, i think in 10 years it gonna end as opportunities of new component parts of GPUs and CPUs will be very high

No, I don't think mining is dead, I think the difficulty is getting bigger in view of the big mining companies on the market, making it almost impossible to mine by a desktop computer. But it is still possible to go for an alternative altcoin, who knows so you can not even make a bigger profit in the future.

I think this is a factor of how little they can be miners in crypto mining. The number of mining applications that are scam/or not paid. So that many miners are lazy to find or mine onlly  few Faucet.

it's hard to get profit from mining. it's not comparable with electricity and hardware maintenance cost. it's very hard now to mining bitcoin, ethereum, and all the big coins. so many people just mining some shitcoins now which is not profitable.

It is all about your electricity costs. If you can get it to nearly free or completely free, it could be the most profitable business ever. Directly converting the electricity > money. People are buying solar panels and wind generators just for this purpose lately.
