Don't Provide Your Identity To Any Website!

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately this is hard to avoid. While most airdrops won't require kyc, most exchanges do, especially when you are dealing with fiat money. This comes naturally with AML regulations, and only way to fight it is using DEFI. But even in those cases you might get in trouble retrospectively with the "travel rule"At least when you are managing significant sums.

But i agree with you that not every site is worth ID. You only need your identity stolen once and after that everyone who bought it from the dark web can use your identity on criminal activity.

Hello dear friends.

A lot of websites, especially Airdrops websites, require KYC or identity verification in order to get the free bonus for example.

However, some of these sites might be scam and could steal your ID very easily!

So please, do some researches before sharing your ID.

Thanks for the advice my friend. I literally don't provide my identity to Airdrop websites or any other website unless I am sure it is 100% secure and trusted.

That is my point here brother. If the website you're entering is trusted (like Yobit platform), it is alright to provide your ID documents.

That's obvious tho, most sites who as KYC versification are scam sites, i mean why don't they give the airdrops only for signing why do they have to know the persons id, personally i don't give my ID or passport id to any sites, i know what they will do with it,

They don't give Airdrops because they are afraid of a person signing up with multiple accounts and getting the bonus more than one time.

There are many platforms where they are taking your personal information to scam you so you have to be careful about your work and the websites you are going to give your identity without knowing about the work don't go ahead for work even if you do some research and enquiry before going that will much better and helpful to recognise things around you.

Airdrops sites require KYC in order to identify the person and to prevent him from spamming by creating dozens of accounts to claim his prize over and over.

@Bohana, @Cammer  you are right, But they can block the IP address of his device and the network supply he is using, if they only allow one account per one IP address then they can manege it, just like freebitcoin.in they can't allow using more than one device for one wifi router, and also they can ban sending to one wallet from more than one accounts, sorry if i am wrong but they have so meany ways to manege this, even this forum is managing this problem right so they can do that.

I agree with that, but people can find many ways of bypassing this issue by using VPNs or proxies or buy them for better results.

Yes this is true, you do not have to present your identity to any site before making sure of its reliability because there are many sites and airdrops in the crypto world are scams that are only intended to steal your money by presenting your identity to these sites

I don't like those kind of airdrop which asks documents verification because they are new project they can steal our personal data so that's why I always join that airdrop which are kycfree and they have potential to do something in future

Yeah but most crypto sites don't allow VPNs its easy to ban proxies, men they also can ban country proxy's right so its easy to contrail most things right, but they need the KYC versification for other things that's why i don't trust them i mean for small money asking our ID is hard for me, there are airdrops without kyc versification right?then why do they give free airdrops without kyc tho.

There are many sites that require access to our personal information, and I do not prefer to work with these sites because they may endanger our information. It is better not to share our private information with anyone and work on sites that do not request KYC.

Of course, we must make sure of the authorities that we provide with personal information because if bad people come to it they will use it for reasons that may not be for your benefit.

I don't find it pleasing releasing personal information to unknown website or even known ones, I hate KYC. Giving out names, passport, ID and other details is not always safe, the reason I don't use centralised platforms, we don't know who receives those information.

I really agree with you. As for me, I am not giving my identity to any site because I think they will use it without my knowledge in other illegal places. . But I only find this type of request on sites that offer their users loans to start their business.

There are ways to bypass KYC perhaps we should try and figure out as our private information is otherwise at the hands of a pothead dumpass employee of some garbage exchange that claims to be secure until they get hacked.

People seriously need to educate themselves on the dangers of exposing their documents online as I've seen thousands of people applying for airdrops that demand KYC and they also seem happy to do so.

If you have trust on such site and you think they wont steal your information then go ahead and provide them that requested KYC, else just try to avoid it as much as possible.

Sometimes a site requires KYC information to provide more security to their Users as nowadays is easier to hack your account than previous times 😉

We should mention the sites that request confidential information, which are: airdrops, cloud mining sites belonging to fake companies, and trading platforms with symbols that are not present on popular platforms, so care must be taken.

Scam projects might sell our identity to another third party to expect the handsome money in return. So it is best to avoid such sort of project if they are repeatedly asking for our sensitive documents and deposits to be safe.
