Retailers have small business with low investment. I think they won't approve first. Big companies have to adopt it. And after that I think many retailers will follow this.

There are some business now that are accepting bitcoin as a method of payment. If you will really analyze, they being clever to accept because you’ll never know when the value will

Yes it is a definite happenings in near future and as per the adoption of crypto currencies happening we can aspect that we soon see many of online and offline stores will accept crypto payments as we as previously many of online stores have started this already.

This can be start from Europe where the parliment approved the crypto in their country and making new frame work fro crylto currency.They can arrange retaulers for crypto currency.They are teaching crypto is colleges.

Retailers will also begin to accept crypto currencies in the future.  However, I think I'm not sure about this situation with Bitcoin prices or other cryptocurrency prices.  Because the price is very volatile.  So sure if they get a stable price and they can start using it as crypto payment.
