What is the different between alts and Bitcoin?

I have been hearing altcoins since I came to know about cryptocurrency so I want to really know what differentiate altcoins and Bitcoin, for you that has been in the industry for a long time what do you have to say?

In fact, there is no difference. If we talk about individual cryptocurrencies, such as Ethereum and bitcoin, the difference is in what algorithms they work on and what type of encryption they use, and of course in the price.

You need to check at coinmarketcap.com and you can see the distinctive features of a particular cryptocurrency. Not all altcoins depend on the course of bitcoin. 

 

For example, I choose up to 50 top cryptocurrencies and it does not matter altcoin and just a token. The main thing is to stick to the top.

The ecosystem is also different, although not much different because altcoin uses the source of Bitcoin. And market trends are also different, altcoin tends to follow the Bitcoin trend but sometimes the altcoin trend is the opposite of the Bitcoin trend.

Altcoins are the coins that existed after Bitcoin. It is short for an alternative coin. Since bitcoin is considered as the king of crypto, then altcoins come after it. Many of altcoins depends on bitcoin so better study it and have more profit through altcoins.

On the most basic ground level knowledge, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies use cryptography and blockchain to store transactions. Altcoins are either forks (from existing blockchains of existing cryptocurrencies), or entirely new blockchains made by the developers. Altcoin provides features Bitcoin does not currently have, but not neccessarily mean they're any better.

In my opinion, technically they are almost the same. The difference is in the number of issued coins, as well as the method of their production, different mining algorithms.
