Litecoin is the best fork of btc which follow the trends of btc. I have seen from one month that ltc is rising or falling in the same proportion of btc although other altcoins were sometimes followed opposite trend. It shows that ltc is fork of btc. But it has more benefits than btc with high speed and low fee.

In my point of view i think that fork is an upgrade of the coin. Sometime we saw there is split on the current network. And sometime it just upgrade the network system. We saw on every bitcoin fork it splitted in two chain. I think another bitcoin fork coming.

In many coins we can see forks. Fork is an upgrade of the coin. Mostly we see it happen when their network splits. Bitcoin splitter many times.
