I think you are taking about mining if you talk for this then mining is not profitable one any personal computer for mining you need to use mining rig to make bitcoins or ethereum .

It depends on your purpose. If you are mining yes it will consume electricity but you will receive bitcoin as a reward. Mining is not for everyone so you must leave this to someone capable and please don't make any noise.

I think electricity need to be addressed in both Crypto and banking system. Climate change measures must be implemented on emergency basis before it gets too late. Clean electricity is the solution to avoid climate change.

Yes. Resources currently being use also uses electricity. Major player is mining specifically if you're mining through a desktop with a video card in or asic miner.

You only use a lot of electricity and computing power when you deal with crypto mining as you use ASIC to mine bitcoin and mining puts a lot of strain on these devices to accomplish the task but otherwise bitcoin does consume a lot of electricity.

I think when you want to make any profit you need to cost some . it may be cost of electricity but tis quantity is very low. I think this is not waste of power.

Its better to use your computer electricity and internet to mine bitcoins than wasting it all days watching tv and doing nothing this arguments about bitcoins became a waste of resource  is wrong its just really not an argument its more like an appeal.

Not for me, I just bounty hunter and trader. For my activity I don't need high electricity supply just enough knowledge and fund to start. Using solar system will solve your electricity problem but of course need big money to built it.

When you are Mining In the cryptocurrency world, you need enough electricity and computer power if not you might end up damaging your computer

Yeah it does massively waste electricity. It's algo isn't efficient at all, and the tech has pretty much surpassed Bitcoin in that regard. I'm pretty confident that Proof of Stake of some sorts is the future and hardware mining will disappear in the future.

Well it depends on the user, if he/she mines and doesn't get good profit then he/she is really wasting electricity. If you are not really earning then you are just wasting your time and energy and other resources that you use. Just stop or find another way to earn, if you can not get profit especially if you do it for a long time.

I don't think Bitcoin wastes electricity because if you work at a computer to make money, it will not cost electricity at all. Even watching TV costs electricity.

That is true. That's why I am also thinking if humanity is just wasting energy just to mine decentralized currencies. Maybe in the near future, people may develop a technology that will allow us to mine without using a lot of power, but same speed, same hash power.

Yes ,it might waste electricity because mining requires 24/7 electricity and  it also requires other equipment to continuously working  with mining like cooling mechanism for big computer or cooling pads to cool down laptop because after or during mining  the things through minimum is done get heats up and need to be cooled and other equipments also run which also consume electricity.

Belive me there are a lot of other things on the planet that are wasting a ton of energy even though they don't even help people that much. At least bitcoin helps millions of people every day, so it's not wasted electricity

Alot Minning need alot of electricity i thinked to mine bitcoin but that need alot of electricity that i can't pay for it also the time that bitcoin need to be mined.

Last year I read an article about bitcoin mining, bitcoin mining use total electricity about a small country  total use of electricity. That means now a days bitcoin mining use huge number of energy with electricity. I think in future when mined all bitcoin then cost reduce.

No all the electrical energy that is use by bitcoin is for mining purpose, to mine bitcoin you need a lot of computing power which require many computers that run on electricity, so the electricity is being use.
