Maybe thats they can be right because bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are got stollen too many times but the governments doesn't take any actions because of there will have no evidence if its true someone has stollen your cryptocurrencies.

Actually, it's weird! In General, Russia has a very strange attitude to cryptocurrency, not only does 1% of the population know about it, but it is not easy. In fact, cryptocurrency is generally illegal, because it can not be used as a payment system, but to go to court and crime-it is certainly possible, but very strange! I heard a story last spring, how a guy wanted to blow up a Federal house, allegedly there is a bomb, and everything will be fine if they transfer bitcoins to his account, I unfortunately do not know the result 😞

This is weird judgement it is something that court needs to be clarified about the theft and how it was just limited to the real world assets or property I think that's a disgrace decision it might be use by other people to victimized cryptocurrency holders because its not a crime.

I think they don't have yet law regarding that case so they don't have power to put the criminal on jail. But it is still a act of crime, it is stealing the property of the others. Such horrible act, everyone make an effort just to earn that much but some people just steal it.

The reason why they said is not a crime to buglar Bitcoin because it was not approved by any central authority and there is no law in guiding the system any thing one commit regardless of weather it is good or bad will not count against him.

So in Russia you can “borrow” someone’s bitcoin? Stealing is not the right word. But if you are operating from Russia then it is legal to steal crypto from everybody around globe. This ridiculous and will get more hackers in the crypto world.

Courts decide their matters according to the laws that exist in the country so courts were rightful according to law as bitcoin don't have enough legislation there

I'm sure that bitcoin theft is a crime and this court should better change this decision. If i was the defendant I'd take this higher. In the EU there is the higher court so I'm sure there is a higher court in Russia too. This is a big problem and needs to be fixed.

Russia has passed a law a few months after these events and now Bitcoin is considered an asset in the country so probably the thieves will not get away. The problem is if they are not willing to give the Bitcoin back what happens?

This is outrageous. Bitcoin has a price and if these judges owned or given some they would knew they can sell it for their national currency. It was a bad decision and they had to consider and study the subject a lot more from the little they did.

This is not a fair decision of court and i just says that the thefting of all the digital currencies is very punishable  and i thought that the court need to punish and get high fine because this is punishment of theft money .

This decision was unjust and there should be a review of this case. It is not possible to steal someones money and the court deciding there is no law. The court is the law and they should have taken a decision. This is infuriating allowing the theft of our wealth.

Russia has a new law that will be applied from next year and this will help this victim to persecute the thieves and force them to give the bitcoins back if they still didn't give them. They will also be probably extend their sentences and they will not get away with stealing digital assets.

This is not exactly what the law and servants of justice should allow to happen. But they probably thought that this bitcoin wasn't taxed and they are not getting paid to protect them so there should be a notice that there is a problem in the legal system and changes must happen. I don't think this was the end of this story and the criminals will meet their punishment.

in Russia people love hacking . The person who steal more money hack others account is praised by govt more that's why Americans are against Russians . Russia hacked so many Usa accounts and bitcoin stolen from America many time , Most big hackers are based in Russia according to Russia the more you have hacking skill The more you do for Russian economy.

It is sad to read this reaction of a court on what is a theft. No matter if an asset is covered by the law this does not mean they should allow the thieves get away but punish them instead. I don't think it will be over like that and maybe these judges will have a very bad history for the rest of their career after this decision.

It is a mistake, not Bitcoin is now considered like stored money, and Bitcoin theft is considered theft, like anything stolen, and the law is held accountable for it because it is illegal.
