Paypal Considers Crypto !

Recommended Posts

In these months I have been seeing news about PayPal, that now you can buy with PayPal in the exchanges but to store cryptocurrencies in PayPal I think it would not be reliable, since PayPal is a centralized company and privacy would be completely lost.

It would be very good if PayPal incorporates an option to buy cryptocurrencies since it would be a good idea to put that option since we all want to buy cryptocurrencies in the safest and easiest way.

@George10 Yes but I suspect that PayPal eventually adopt the cryptocurrency on their platform. You know PayPal is very famous for banning the user's accounts if they see anything suspicious. Once you loss the access to PayPal account, you have to undergo a strict verification procedures.

yea this is one of the main reasons why I dont like using paypal, and i think we in crypto now have MCO issuing credit cards for us to use and buy crypto, also there is SPND cards, and those will help people buy crypto.

Whoever considers paypal as crypto is either crazy or is completely ignorant, is a person who has little discretion, in addition, the paypal fee is very large with respect to cryptocurrencies or bitcoin.

If this would translate in to reality or being actualize by PayPal will no doubt have been a massive Grace and a welcome development to all categories of Crypto user's. As it would significantly aid in boosting and enhancing transactions, and promote the good image of Crypto currencies system to the outside world which will rapidly increase wider adoption.

The truth is that this is very good news for cryptocurrencies, when PayPal is linked with cryptocurrencies many more people will feel safe to buy cryptocurrencies and have them in PayPal, the only problem with this is that other people will not like it

The idea is very much since one of the main uses of Bitcoin is anonymity, a large number of people use cryptocurrencies to not give any type of banking data and for this reason is that cryptocurrencies are given anonymously, while other people if they would feel somewhat safe because PayPal is a very safe page where to store money.

I think this welcome soon, all those service like Paypal, Netller, Skill..... are specialist in E-currency, so for them introduced cryptocurrency on their service will be the best option, the unique obstacle right now still crypto is not legal.

@duncun007I barely use Debit/Credit cards to purchase crypto from the sites but if I do, I would prefer Coinbase. I have prepaid cards from Skrill and Spectrocoin and I also use that sites to purchase cryptocurrencies.

Coindesk published yesterday an article claiming that Paypal is considering adding an option to buy cryptocurrencies directly from Paypal and Venmo wallets. Coindesk claims that they contacted three people inside Paypal that confirmed the plans and they expect this to be announced in the next 2-3 months. They didn't say which coins will be used, but it is expected that a few of the main ones as Bitcoin, Litcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and perhaps a few more will be available in the beginning.

If something like this happens it will be a huge boost for cryptocurrencies. Paypal has 325 million users and the exposure of cryptocurrencies will be significant. This is still a rumor right now and nothing has been confirmed officially by Paypal, which doesn't like to discuss their plans in public.

In the last few years, we have seen many applications adding options of buying cryptocurrencies as the Square app (Jack Dorsey's second company), the Revolut Bank, e-Toro, and Robinhood. All these have played their part in the recent rise of cryptocurrencies, especially after their users massively bought the crypto dip back in March, along with the stocks and commodities dips.

I'm waiting for news and will notify the forum for any developments with Paypal as soon as there are further announcements.

I'm waiting impatiently, it's a good thing to add a PayPal wallet to deal with cryptocurrencies.

The Coindesk article was really real, and this topic seems to have been a gift for those who wanted to invest in Bitcoin at that time, because PayPal had already added the option to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin for users, this news was a great motivation for the bitcoin price rise.

At the moment we take this news with delicacy but I think it promises since PayPal handles a large volume of people
But I think that at the moment paypal will not be able to withdraw cryptocurrencies to other good wallets for the moment we want to know what is happening
Luck and big winnings
A big greeting to the whole community

And after the official announcement bitcoin rose by $1000 and now we are closer to 15k that was predicted by many to happen before the end of the year. Although I was expecting a wallet from paypal and they don't allow withdrawals or deposits in crypto, but it is a good effort nontheless.

I read about the latest paypal news and I didn't know a lot about this was proposed a while ago. Big news but I also read they will not allow deposits or withdrawals in crypto. This was not very good in my opinion and they should really change it in the future. This is not what crypto is about to be locked someplace and not able to move.

I think this could be a game changer because most of the time when I have crypto such as ripple am always looking for an exchanger who takes a considerable amount of my money and that becomes very difficult to really define what to do , so the truth is we need to work hard and paypal being the largest one we have seen out there then we can be able to have a good adoption , I for once can be very good in using it

Finally it happened! Paypal the enemy of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that for years was trying to explain they are the best payment option and was spreading fud on crypto now they accepted and will allow some cryptocurrencies to be used and bought in their systems. It is probably the decisive point for crypto.

I am super excited with what Paypal has announced and I think that this is probably the best recognition of cryptocurrencies and every country that has blocked and banned crypto, should now rethink what they did and make them legal as payments and create regulations to allow them and accept them.

The truth is we need to work and be sure that we move in a such a different direction and in the end everything that works for me is that it does and has to be well organized and the work we do , we need to put together a good strategy how they venture into crypto currency but this will be very helpful very helpful

The news were not priced in and Bitcoin risen even more with this. It seems there are many interested right now and prices seem to be rising a lot but I expect some whales to begin dumping at a close to 14k level and maybe we will not make a lot of increase right now.
