It depends on what kind of cryptocurrency are you referring to. And also what do you mean by going down and up does it refer to the value or to the growth and development of cryptocurrency. 

 

I will assume that you are referring to bitcoin and to its value so I can have my own view on this matter. Bitcoin will be big in the years to come and it will reach back its highest value at 20k$ in the few years to come..
