Comment: Two major headaches remain on the English side of the forum: the Beginners and the Crypto World section. I'm not going to touch the Beginners section that much because I believe that more than three-fourths of the topics posted there deserve to be moved, locked and/or deleted anyway. Might as well have that whole section shut down temporarily for a good thorough cleanup.

After cleaning up the Crypto World section, the English section would by then be more or less back to what it was before all that **** in October.

This a feature of the most transactions with cryptocurrencies. Your name is not connected to your account. You are free to use whatever pseudonym you want to manage your cryptocurrency wallet. What’s more, the identities of coin owners are always encrypted. This is a level of privacy that no other currency can promise. Spoiler

Today we are going to talk about Litecoin, the lightweight version of Bitcoin, the athlete brother of Bitcoin, the Usain Bolt of cryptocurrencies. I could continue giving examples but each time they would be of a worse level, so let's get to the point: What is Litecoin?

Litecoin (LTC) is the first altcoin in history, that is, the first alternative to Bitcoin created in October 2011 by Charlie Lee (a former Google worker who decided to quit his job to dedicate himself 100% to the development of Litecoin).
Has he repented? No, I think so, since LTC currently has a market capitalization of $ 2,820,078,668 USD (yes, I don't know how to pronounce that figure either).

The main idea of Litecoin is to be a currency with all the benefits that Bitcoin offers but without any of those small problems that the N1 crypto market faces. Such is the similarity between the two, that Litecoin is simply a fork of the Bitcoin Core software, that is, it is almost a direct copy of Bitcoin.😃

Spoiler

In just a few hours, an equivalent of 500 million dollars is withdrawn. The situation comes after the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) accused the exchange of violating anti-money laundering rules and offering illegal trading services.
What happened with the exchange generated an informative tinderbox within the bitcoiner ecosystem. In addition to the commission's action, the Justice Department filed criminal charges against its co-founders and the head of business development. The accusation would be for violating the bank secrecy law.
Other exchanges that have also seen strong withdrawals are: Okex (2609 BTC), Bitstamp (785 BTC), Deribit (675 BTC), Kraken (645 BTC), and Huboi (513 BTC).
What do you think about the other exchanges mentioned? Will we have to withdraw?

Spoiler

A perfect storm of trouble for our data The general consensus remains that we could see the first implementation of quantum computers in just 10 years. Whether quantum computing is integrated in 10, 50, or 200 years, Pandora's box has already been opened. Big names in computing, such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM, will use significant resources to ensure they do not lose the battle to colonize the next frontier of computing. With the significant impact of quantum computing on artificial intelligence - another important area of prospective research and development for these companies - this will only further fan the flames of motivation to discover new quantum breakthroughs. Quantum computing and cryptocurrencies While the implementation of quantum computing can affect almost every aspect of our lives that touches the digital realm, the biggest implications may be for the cryptocurrency industry.

Today, the pseudo-random generation of keys by cryptocurrencies continues to make them susceptible to exploitation by hackers, and quantum computing will only increase the probability of predicting the values generated by software in the blink of an eye. eyes, which raises significant safety concerns. As elegant and essentially perfect as Satoshi Nakamoto's protocol is, the creator could not explain a world in which quantum computing could be realistically applied to compromise the Proof-to-Work algorithm before it was cryptocurrency mining will end. If there is a flaw in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, it is that they were built during what could be the end of an era for a certain type of crypto, a realm where obsolescence is certainly not an option. Google's quantum computer is still far from useful, says Vitalik Buterin Furthermore, with Satoshi's addresses so widely known, it wouldn't take much for a quantum attacker to compromise the private keys of those addresses and take Satoshi's own coins - there would be billions of reasons for such action.

https://cryptotalk.org/topic/149990-what-is-erc-20-and-what-are-the-functions-of-erc-20/

Spoiler

The ERC-20 token is used for smart contracts on the Ethereum network.

The ERC-20 standard was developed in 2015, and it is based on defining a common list of rules that the Ethereum symbol must implement.

It also provides developers with the possibility to program a new token in the Ethereum ecosystem.

The ERC-20 standard has various functions in favor of other symbols within the Ethereum system.

It defines basic functions including the way tokens are transferred and how users can access data related to the tokens.

The ERC-20 also includes a set of functions and signals so that the various types of Ethereum tokens work uniformly anywhere within the Ethereum system.

As such, all digital wallets that support Ethereum also support ERC-20 compliant tokens.

However, given that the ERC-20 standard is still relatively young, it will likely carry errors that must be eliminated and addressed.

Ethereum is mature, far from ERC 20 tokens.

In many cases, Ethereum is certified at the expense of ERC-20 tokens because the latter may cause some problems when applied and executed in some transactions.

https://cryptotalk.org/topic/320619-is-china-really-controlling-bitcoin/

Spoiler

This question came after the Chinese miners' clear control of the bitcoin hash rate since 2016, despite the ban on trading cryptocurrencies and initial offerings in China since 2018, and the threat to stop mining operations in China also in 2019.

However, the Chinese miners continued their actions, as well as the Chinese bitcoin mining companies that manufacture mining equipment and have large mining complexes, which made mining in China dominate the bitcoin hash rate, which is shown by a map produced by the Cambridge University Center for Alternative Financing, as this map shows how the miners are The Chinese currently control about 65% of the average monthly share of the total bitcoin hash rate.

This is a much higher number than the three closest competitors to China, which are:

The United States, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Each of these countries currently controls only 6-7% of the average bitcoin hash rate.

China dominates Bitcoin mining industry:
China's takeover of Bitcoin mining is not a spur of the moment.

As China has dominated this activity since the early days of the ASIC mining process, Bitmain and Canaan Creative, two of the first companies to manufacture ASIC mining equipment in China, started.

For this reason, the entry barrier for mining in China has always been much lower than the rest of the world.

Chinese consumers can avoid the taxes and fees that come with shipping ASIC units abroad, while also taking advantage of early access to the latest generation mining hardware.

In addition to the relatively low energy costs in China, all these factors made the country a hotbed of cryptocurrency mining, the results of which are evident today.

Could Chinese mining companies launch a 51% attack on Bitcoin?
Since Chinese miners control nearly two-thirds of the bitcoin hash rate, it can be said that they have majority control of about two-thirds of the newly mined bitcoin.

Because of this, if all miners in China decide to launch a 51% attack against the Bitcoin network, the odds of it succeeding are high.

This is easier said than done, as it takes concerted efforts and coordination between each individual mineral in China to make the operation a success, and therefore it may require a financial and time cost to do so.

But it can be viewed from another angle, as controlling the bitcoin hash rate gives China a great deal of leverage when it comes to determining the market price of the cryptocurrency.

Approximately 900 new Bitcoins are produced every day, and about 65% of that total goes to Chinese miners (about more than $ 5 million) who can then control how and when this amount of Bitcoin gets to the market.

Since the Chinese bitcoin hash rate is already being shaped by the contributions of tens of thousands of individual miners, it is unlikely that any large-scale collusion to deal with the bitcoin price has occurred.

Controlling 65% of the newly minted bitcoin to the market places China in a position of strength in the bitcoin markets, but it is not a position of absolute control over the currency.

After all, even if 100% of all newly minted bitcoins were dumped in the trading platforms on a daily basis, that would constitute less than 1% of the total Bitcoin trading volume that day, which is enough to shrink the price for a short period, but not hold it firmly. long-term.

With the Chinese government now looking to launch its central bank-backed digital currency, it may not take long for China to take a tougher stance against community-controlled cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

This could have serious repercussions on the Bitcoin network, especially in the event that more than half of the Chinese retail rate is lost, which inevitably will also have a major impact on the price, but all of this remains only expectations and scenarios that accept truth and error.

In conclusion, although Chinese miners own more than half of the bitcoin hash rate, it cannot be said that they have control over Bitcoin or its price.

If they were to secure their network, they could do it with other companies that have a more palatable reputation. They could hire people for this job instead of buying a whole company. If following the rules but other trading platforms don't follow it, they're really fooling their clients. But since the exchange is not entirely responsible for losing user resources like banks and other financial institutions, what users can do in case of dissatisfaction is to change the exchange platform. Exchangeusers have no obligation to return lost assets.

I was wondering why they bought a cybersecurity firm like Neutrino in the first place. If it is for securing their network that would have made sense, but they could have done so with another company that has a more savory reputation. They could have also hired people for the job instead instead of buying a whole company for it. If it is to "comply with regulations" but the other trading platforms didn't follow suit, then they are indeed taking their clients for fools. The resulting battlecry #DeleteCoinbase was the result.

Like you, I have repeatedly developed proposals in order to be attended and implemented by the other members, but I see an attitude that is not very responsible for the vast majority who are carried away by impulses and greed by selling all the tokens. I hope that in the future the utility of the token will diversify and that we can all start to enjoy the possible benefits. What I generally indicate is that they do not sell everything and that we all create a plan for the Talk token to take its value again. I hope that one day we will be heard. Finally, analyze this situation. Today the Talk token has a value of 43 Satoshis. If we at least only sell half this price it could go up to 70 Satoshis or more.

Spoiler

The term "cryptocurrency" or cryptocurrency includes endless definitions. However, one of the most accurate is that a cryptocurrency is a virtual currency created thanks to a computerized code. Similarly, a cryptocurrency is a string of data that indicates a unit. The main difference between the latter and conventional currencies is that cryptocurrencies are completely decentralized, that is, they are not controlled or supervised by any government, they are monitored by a P2P Internet protocol (which we will talk about later).

These digital currencies are created through a process called “mining”, where the miners are adding the records of the operations that are carried out to the public ledger of a certain cryptocurrency. All transactions occur immediately on each of the platforms and are added to the public ledger, where they can be viewed by anyone on the network.

Leverage on margin trading has decreased from 100x to 2x.  And that’s not good news for crypto users and traders.  But the government has implemented the theme for their interest because traders will not like this method.  They can contribute at least 40-50%.

Is it possible to earn money with cryptocurrencies without investing !?

We all know more or less the famous virtual bitcoin currency that has changed the lives of many people! In any case those who believed in it because it must be admitted that it was science fiction at the time! For several currencies we have seen the day and today earning money with cryptocurrencies is realistic now. However, you really have to be careful and analyze the project before you start buying it because it has at least one for each letter of the alphabet now. Also there are those who have given free tokens at launch to attract the public. In other words they give you money when you register … 😎 just that !!! 😀 Isn’t that great !? 😉 So they too must be analyzed to find those who are serious and viabl e.

Comment: Here's the continuation of the Crypto World section cleanup. I'm currently not being paid for posting but that doesn't matter.  Payment restored, thanks.

This may also be the last major digging in a section I'll do for this year. Barely a trace has remained of the damage inflicted last October throughout the English forum (except the Beginners section maybe). The rest of the newer copy/paste offenders are just stragglers. Good to see the forum finally getting back to shape.

Cryptocurrencies show new alternatives in transactions through these virtual currencies. One of the advantages of this formula is that its value in use does not depend on a specific place, but is an innovative concept open to the universality of a global moment that has generated a new mentality and possibilities unthinkable a few years ago.

Most of these new proposals operate with a blockchain technology system, a commitment to decentralization that has created a turning point in the notion of the Internet held so far.

The cryptos with the most future are: bitcoin, ethereum, ripple, litecoin, nem or xem.

FirstLet's take a look at these 2 concepts first.

  1. Bitcoin is fundamentally the introduction of a credibly neutral global value transfer system, which is also open and permissionless, but cryptographically secure and verifiable.
  2. The unlimited ability to print money in the fiat world operates in stark contrast to Bitcoin, periodically reducing issuance through immutable monetary policy.

Based on both concepts, fiat money in these times has its days numbered. Monetary policies will no longer be controlled, at least by the will of a union. I believe that this financial revolution will leave a deep trail in the history of mankind.

What are the advantages of Bitcoin?
Freedom of payment - It is possible to send and receive any amount of money in real time from or to anywhere in the world at any time. No bank vacations. no limits. No restrictions to bypass. Bitcoin allows its users to have complete control over their money.
Very Low Fees - Bitcoin payments are currently made either for no fee at all or with very little fees. Users can include transfer fees with their payment to gain priority execution, resulting in faster confirmation of the transaction by the network. In addition, merchants have units to help process transactions, convert Bitcoin into fiat currencies, and deposit funds directly into their bank accounts on a daily basis. And because these services are based on Bitcoin, they can offer their services for much less than PayPal or credit card networks.
Less risk for merchants - Bitcoin transactions are secure, non-reversible, and do not contain private or sensitive consumer information. This protects traders from losses arising from fraud or dishonest retrieval attempts, and there is no need for any PCI compliance. Merchants can expand into new markets where credit card support is unavailable or where fraud is rising unexpectedly. The end product is fewer transport fees, more markets, and fewer administrative fees.
Security and Control - Bitcoin users have complete control over their transactions; It is impossible for merchants to forcibly charge undisclosed or undesirable fees as can happen with other payment methods. Bitcoin payments can be made without personal information being merged or linked to the transaction. This provides superior protection against identity theft. Bitcoin users can also protect their money with backups and encryption.
Transparency and impartiality - all information on providing funds for the Bitcoin itself is available on the blockchain for anyone to use and verify in real time. No one or organization can control or manipulate the Bitcoin protocol because it is secured through an encryption and encryption system. This enables Bitcoin to be trusted, as it is neutral, transparent and fully predictable.
