If we talk about wallets then we will also talk about the wallet keys. There are two kinds of wallet keys; the private key and the public key.

The public key is also known as your wallet address. This is the alpha numeric number which you give to someone in order to receive a certain coin or token. The word public means that you can share it so you can make transactions.

Next is the private keys. Private keys are like the keys you use to open your door. For example you are going to unlock your door and you need a key to open it. It is the same with your private keys, this is the key that you will use to unlock or access your wallet. The word private here means that this key needs to be kept by you and never be shared otherwise other people can access your wallet.

So always keep in mind the difference so that your wallet will be safe and your coin or token will not be taken away from you. Share only your public key (wallet address) and not your private key.

Thanks for narrate this useful post. This post is useful for every one. We should always try to keep safe our private key. We should never share our private key.

In short, your private key is private and should be protected and not shown to others
The public key is a key that you can share with others to exchange currencies between you

time public keys are proven by a bigger community, concealed keys stay a hush-hush lone recognized to an entity user. cogitate of communal keys as banks financial records and classified keys as the PINs to access them.

As far as i know the public keys are the address and destination tag when you are transferring your coins to your wallet and the private keys are the one you need to keep by your own just like your password and etc.. Thanks for reminding us.

The private keys are what we use to sign the transactions and send them, meanwhile the public are used to make them, which are signed later.

A public key can be thought just like as your bank account number in the crypto world which you can share in public but private key is the most important thing to access your crypto wallet. You should never share your private key with anyone else.

This is very important to know the difference between your private key and public key. You should keep your private key at very secure place, don't tell it to anyone otherwise you will lose all your coins.

Thank you my friend for clarifying this difference
I think we should be very careful when dealing with cryptocurrencies or when giving our information to anyone else and we must verify the information before giving it

We all know that public keys on addresses are kind if those which we always say that it's our wallet address,as that's what is called the public key. And with the private key, just from the name you have to know it doesn't need to be shared anonymously to people as that's the most important keys which you have to keep, if your wallet provides it

Hello my friend .  I see that the public key is used to encrypt data. As for the private key to decrypt the data, therefore, surely the private key is more useful and important.

In any wallet we always get these two types of keys. These has great usecase. Public key use on transactions. We receive payments from others through this key and private key is our wallet access key. We cann't log in our wallet without this. Also we cann't recover it if we loss it.

Thanks very much friend, i think if you will lost your private key you will not be able to access your coins because its the key to open your wallets which holds your coins. Its better to use a wallet that doesn't use private keys.

Most of the beginners don't know the differences between these keys as many of them start with a wallet that holds the private keys for them and they might not even notice something like this exists. It's very important to backup and keep your private keys safe.

you can think of it like this, the public key is your email address that people need to send you emails, and the private key is the password to your email to access it
