Agree with you, the price of cryptocurrencies is being manipulated and it worries users. I know many coins are manipulated, it's important to be careful. Smaller coins are more easily manipulated because it is easy to control

I think can be manipulated by a big traders such as whales, but they cannot have fully controlled over a big market cryptocurrency. They could only move a little of the price if they have a huge volume. But a low volume market could be easily manipulated by those people who just wants to make the advantages for themselves.

Manipulation really happens, We are in decentralize market where whales can make or break the price of bitcoin, But these market manipulation doesn't comes cheap this cost million of USD to execute. Most of the time this happens when whales want to buy more BTC at a cheaper price.

This is the same in other financial markets. I will not call it manipulation, rather I will call it big players or whales playing with the markets. It is only a coin that is not evenly distributed that can be manipulated by whales. A well established coin like ethereum, eos cannot be manipulated.

I have not personal encounter this issue but so many members and experts says they see  so many times, because the big whales buy so many coins and they manipulate the prices when they need money they start buying coins and temperary create demand situation and prices pump up and when they earn money they down the prices and they safe.

Yeah many of exchanges have this type of flaw and misused by whales whom have created pump channels and disturbed the market by manipulating by fake pumps.

Yes price of Cryptocurrencies can be manipulated in exchanges and this is easy for those markets whales.  That's why this is very frustrating to us especially when we are victim of those whales.
