Some smart scammer had developed a malware that prompted an update of a wallet and as soon as you updated you wallet you lose all your coins, many had fallen victims in this, so been careful is very important in crypto, it is better to do everything officially.

activate the 2fa , use a unique password that you do not use for another site , keep your keys private in physical and not in your computer and make updates only from the official site of your wallet and not from any link

Best way to store cryptocurrency, is to use secure, genuine and top crypto wallets. 

Make strong password on the wallet, and enable 2FA on the wallet.

The first step is to find a good wallet. Then the second step is to write down your passwords and private keys and make a backup too as you will store them in places nobody is going to look for. And a backup is always recommended in case of something goes wrong.

If you are using custodial wallets for storing Crypto then 2fa is a good option. You can use Google Authenticator to as alternative for 2Fa as it's more easy and privacy respective than 2Fa.

But if you want Maximum security then , you should go for non-custodial wallet. Always remember not your keys not your Crypto.

Wallets is the best option to secure your coins becasue now the exchanges are so many and the hackers now attack on the exchanges and they withdraw all the money and i loss so much money like this, so wallet is the best option.

I don't know why we have to send the crypto on a different wallet. We can just withdraw to a wallet address for one we own the private keys and have them saved there. Although it is better to have a ledger or another hardware wallet.
