The only way to avoid scams is to perform due diligence. If we blindly trust any random project out there we risk a lot as most altcoins and new projects will eventually go to zero. Historically nothing besides Bitcoin and a few more altcoins was a good investment. There are many direct scams as well which will run with the money after a few months. Without proper research everyone is risking losing all his crypto funds and more.
