Though total supply of etherium is almost 5x than bitcoin, btc price is very higher than eth. as a second currency, eth need to do more hardwork and it it may cross btc.

I personally do not think that ethereum can overtake or overthrow bitcoin in its current standing, although it is a strong contender, it will be very hard to actually compete with bitcoin with its market and its statistics now.

Yesterday I have go through a google chrome suggested post that when there will be a Transfer of Ethereum network from POW to POS in Ethereum 2.0, that will effect Ethereum very very positive. and ethereum could break all its records.

yes i think lot of time. after bitcoin i have only listen the name of ethereum. when i have rejoined crypto world i only knows two type of currencies that was bitcoin and ethereum. at that time i have strong believe that ethereum can compete bitcoin. but it could not perform well. so in future what will happen we can not say anything.

Why not,change is the only constant thing in life so anything can happen and be possible. If eth makes more worthy and prove itself that it is worth investing more than bitcoin well it can be,but for now,eth will be just be no. 2 and bitcoin remains as the king.

These two crypto coins are the real competitors of each other. They both top the market and I guess that they have different features especially when it comes to their volatility.

Ethereum cannot overtake bitcoin, but ethereum can increase the price in the future. Ethereum will be difficult to compete with the bitcoin price because ethereum is behind on bitcoin moves. Maybe ethereum can compete with the other altcoin but not bitcoin. I thought that it is possible. But it is very hard for the ethereum to beat the bitcoin. If the ethereum team works hard and improve its technology than the bitcoin. And more peoples invest money then the bitcoin. So, it is possible.
