Have You Created Any Paper Wallets for BTC?

Recommended Posts

Paper wallets are quite useful for storing the cryptocurrencies. Because it gives the maximum security to the users. But each time a user must be careful about these things. And also if the private key is lost then there is nothing to do. And you cannot trade in paper wallets. So the right thing would be to use online wallets but more attention is always required.

Indeed, my friend, the hard ware wallet is considered a safe keeper at the present time if you want to store large quantities of cryptocurrencies. As for the cases of small quantities, I think that websites and encrypted wallets fulfill the purpose.

Personally, the only paper wallet that I created was for Electroneum (ETN), 2 or 3 years ago. I never created one for Bitcoin, maybe I will do it later if I have a big amount of BTC to hide.

I really fears to hide my huge balance to the paper wallet, because I remember about 1 year ago my friend was lost the hard copy of his paper wallet, while the wallet was having 0.3 btc, and he couldn't recover them never.

In fact, I did not try the paper wallet and did not understand how it works although I learned from some of my friends that it is safer than the hot digital wallets so I will try to use it soon.

Of course the paper wallet is more safe than the hot wallet, and it is working that's way, your wallet are being stored in the paper hardcopy, so if you need to withdraw you need to login to the wallet the the phrase keys from your hardcopy paper.

Thanks for your sharing. I used to have some time using paper wallets. Actually a paper wallet is a fairly old wallet and it is very popular. It is also very safe. Use a paper wallet to hold bitcoin very well. Users have total control over coins and wallets.

I don't know why I would need this type of wallet, assuming there is a wallet on my mobile phone's hardware? I don’t find the benefit of that. Can you explain.

I had once created the paper wallet for bitcoin but I did not think like using paper wallet is the secured way to store my valuable cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. Generally some sites like you mentioned in your topics allows us to create the paper wallet which is still risky, I think.

I don't even know how a paper wallet look like. I came into crypto late and the era of paper wallet is gone

No, you are just made to believe so because most cryptocurrency enthusiast don't know a thing about them. Paper wallets are not outdated and you can get one for yourself to maximize your coins' security. They are cheap and most of them work on all platforms. In fact, they are mostly used by miners and large cryptocurrency holders.

I have never created a paper wallet for cryptocurrency because I constantly use my assets and I would not be comfortable using it + I could easily forget where it is with my bad memory

Yes, I have a paper wallet and creating the paper wallet is easy and all you have to do is go to a site that generates a title and key for a wallet and an application or program to enter and use that wallet

I created paper wallet from some sites for Bitcoin but I avoided to deposit Bitcoin into them because that types of wallets are dangerous.  Sites that generate paper wallet may sync your private key to steal your money later.  I do not say it is good practice  to use such wallets.

Hardware wallets are expensive so I use paper wallets for a cold storage wallet. Sometimes I even lose track of how many paper wallets i have, they are so many, and that is good do not keep all your money on one paper waller.

To begin with, a paper wallet is actually the most secure way to store your bitcoins, but the problem is that this topic is intended for a fairly narrow circle of people who have a fortune in cryptocurrency, like this.

Hardware wallets are costly so I use paper wallets for a chilly stockpiling wallet. Now and again I even forget about the number of paper wallets I have, they are so many, and that is acceptable don't keep all your cash on one paper waller.
