What do you know about digital dust?

Recommended Posts

I think the perfect way is to change your private keys as soon as possible because as you said some hackers exist so your account is in the risk. Is this event usually happens everytime?

Something strange happened to me some time ago, when I noticed that small quantities of a cryptocurrency had arrived in my wallet, which did not exceed a few cents.  I was amazed at this, and upon researching and exploring, I discovered what is called digital dust.  A Dusting attack is defined as a new type of malicious activity in which hackers attempt to violate the privacy of Bitcoin users and cryptocurrencies by sending small amounts of currency to their personal wallets and many Bitcoin owners believe that their identity is well protected from attempts to infiltrate and view their transactions  Unfortunately, this is not true.

Did it happen with you like this?  That is, to have currencies link you to your digital wallets without knowing their source?

Is this dangerous as I read it?

How do we avoid the risks of this phenomenon?

Yes It could be dangerous, if anything comes from unknown sources it means someone is trying for bad activity. Still it not happened with me but we should use different email address and password for wallet. If you share same email everywhere then hacking chances are high.

We know that digital dust enters our crypto wallet, but is it true that from digital dust there is a big risk with the state of our wallet?

A regular trader in crypto transactions would not notice the dust which is worth few bucks but some newcomers or even old ones might view the transaction that will allow the hackers to link address and identify the company and individual behind the wallet.

I think that these kind of coins comes from the internet blackhole where many transactions gets lost. So you shouldn't worry about it. It's not dangerous.

I haven't noticed it, but how will they get your information, I don't think they will be able to access your wallet

Is that even possible? It's just that they had sent you a little amount or any amount of bitcoin, then they can know your identity? I do not believe about this. In order for them to have your identity, they need your account ofcourse, not just your wallet.

First time I heard about this digital dust, I think I might check my wallet in case something like this happened to me as well. I think I've seen it before, but I didn't paid enough attention to them, I may be wrong or it really was a digital dust what I've seen back then.

Dust is very harmful for us. Digital dust is also too dangerous. we have to remove digital dust from our digital platform. If we do not do that our platform will be polluted.

It has never happened to me before. My advice would be to add more security features to your wallet or if possible, even change your wallet. Transfer your money to a different wallet that is well secured.

I think it's safe, because the sender sends crypto to our address without knowing our keystore, so it will remain safe. I experienced that 2 years ago, got a crypto shipment worth $ 200 and nothing happened to my wallet and account, all are safe until now. I think it's a random airdrop that aims to make us interested in their tokens.
