Will XRP Overtake Ethereum in 2020?

As reported by Bitcoin Guide, Ian Balina, a smooth blockchain specialist and ICO and CEO of Token Metrics, believes Ethereum can outperform Bitcoin in market value in the 2020s.

We can't say anything what will happen in future on the crypto market. In 2019 we saw xrp beat Eth one time. I don't think it will beat again Eth volume. Because in 2020 we will get Eth major upgrade which can create hyip on market.

Ethereum and XRP will be in a serious fight because as I know the value of this two is in the top two of the chart. This kind of statistics is one of the way to check this. Also as I know improvements of Ethereum in version 2 will be a great help.

XRP has been always looking promising, at least for me. It has been researched and discussed for its feasibility to be adopted in some regions such as Japan. I also find it way more faster in confirming transactions, but still lacks ERC20 support, something that Ethereum still stands out.

Hello dude, there is very low possibility for the Ripple XRP to overtake Ether in 2020 but it can be possible after a few years. ETH is implementing and upgrading the technical components to enhance the user experiences. They always trying to meet the requirements of users.

So far eth has always improved the quality of market prices and conditions well. Agree, I think even this is an impossible thing to do xrp to rival eth.

Xrp reaching second position is a bit difficult but there is no doubt that xrp is increasing its ranking from where it was already. It might take few years for it to match or cross ethereum.

I don't think so,popularity,use cases and price of ethereum is way too much and will be hard for xrp to reach that price instantly. Although xrp is performing well and have lots of partnership now but still the trust of small investors or traders on xrp is not enough.

At the moment it seems to me so impossible, because of that everything is depending on BTC. If BTC overtook others will do that too. It is something a chain reaction, altcoins always follow BTC.

For me Xrp and Eth are dead because trading or even investment in bitcoin is better than them in all ways when i look to chart i can seethe same movement to bitcoin so i will prefer them to have a private support or the collapse of bitcoin will end them too.

Nothing like that is impossible to be happened to XRP in this year because the XRP are worthing of $0.16 but the ethereum current dropped to $136 but recently it was worth more than $200.

The price of ethereum and ripple are incomparable, they have a very wide price difference and I don't think ripple price can overtake ethereum

That's an opinion. No one knows exactly what will happen to Altcoins. But as far as I know, Ethereum is considered the top of all Altcoins and XRP price is not that high as Ethereum. So, I don't think Ripple will overtake Ethereum.
