Self-moderated Topics?

Recommended Posts

It is good suggestion it will make the topic look better and also it will help the moderators too in clearing The forum and in removing the spam and unwanted messages.

I have seen them too they just make the topic and the thread useless and less interesting for the visitors and for the new comers and they effect the reputation of the forum too.

Yes, I am in favor of giving some rights to high-ranking members in managing their posts because they have enough experience to know the good and bad content and they have the right to delete the comments that they do not find good, I think that this will benefit the forum moderators a lot in their work and help to clean the forum from spam.

I would like to ask moderators to give some of the users right to create self-moderated topics.

Why?

Some project owners are leaving the forum because of spam posts being posted non-stop on their topic.

Example: BitAIrt

Topic:

Solution:

Give project owners the right to self-moderate topics and erase spam (if they want)
and also give the same right to higher member ranks.

Thank you for consideration

@Desais @epidemia @ayatoslaw @Admin

If the moderators will give the opportunity to topic creators to monitor their topic and if any spamming content is found such individual should be reported with immediate effect this method will reduce the rate of content spamming and low quality post.

It would have been great idea, however some topic autors could have deleted written comments for no reason and probably admins would have not known. In the other hand, would have been great to get this rights since some amount of rating or posts.

If we give this feature to our topic owners by self-moderating their posts, it gives them a lot of power

It is feared that they will use this force to delete members' posts and responses to topics only with the intent of retaliation or frustration, which is very bad.

great idea it will help the users to make more powerful and amazing content and it will make the forum look good too, but I do not think it will happen in the forum.

This is no reason to open self moderated posts. In fact a post like that is often abused as the creator restricts users from writing their opinion and only promotes the posts that are in favour and what they like. It can easily be abusive behaviour as we have seen in the past some projects doing that and blocking questions that would be difficult to answer.

That would be nice if the poster can moderate the post they made themselves, once they see spam posts they deleted them instantly.

It'll somehow reduce the work of moderators too

I don't find your example to be valid nor the reaction from this member to have to do with reality. If he thinks someone is spamming then the spam message should be reported. What exactly he wants I don't know, and saying they will leave the forum is also looking like a threat.

Surely it would be a nice if all topic goes through self moderation as it will help to maintain the level and trust of the platform and make this platform clean. No spams would be available and people would feel easy to go through any crypto fact.it would be nice option of self moderation

I think your suggestion would not resolve it since it would only be another reason for other user to use when they are also being reported with a spam. I would say that the best move for it is to make another section that is the sole purpose is to contain any kind of self-moderate topics that are being involved in which this would also be uniform to other project owners that wanted to do this. If ever they are only about self-moderation, I would say that having their own section would solve it because they would not create an attention to the other users that might report them as a spam.

That would be great idea my friend. Also a bannar should be on the top of the post that explains that, as the creator of self-moderating posts would be deleting posts at his discretion so a warning will be required. Usually nobody wants to write in self moderated topics in other forums but it could help in a small way.

My brother, they have given us the option of a report. Thanks to this, we can remove those who works not good and are spammers on this forum. Now, not only do they do all the work, it also becomes our responsibility.

self-directing signifies "no directing". It very well may be an alternate circumstance on the off chance that you had a specialty board that was a more experienced point (like nurturing or something to that effect) where most of the useres were older...but it's simply unrealistic with general subject sheets.

It seems to me a fairly extensive topic, it is not so easy to self-moderate your publications, that could allow the creator of the publication to eliminate any criticism of his post, no matter how experienced the person is, he could fall into that, this forum must have moderators who work to avoid spam or any violation of the rules, better let them work, and I do not think that the content creators who appreciate the forum are going to leave it because of spam, you have to fight it, do not give up

In some way it would be a good thing when it is allowed to care about self moderation. Since it has advantage like it will control the spams and bring some pureness and true analysis. In short I will favour this option

No I do not advocate your suggestion at all , and I think that it will literally undermine this forum and will prevent new members from joining and participating. You are calling for a hierarchy system that gives senior members absolute authority over new members, I think this same system has been applied in Bitcoin talk and has proved to be a total failure , because people are leaving that forum to join us here at Cryptotalk.

@hexwin Obviously, this situation has already been handled by the forum moderators to secure the forum from scammers and spammers so they don't need to worry because the moderators delete any post that isn't useful and it's against the forum rules and regulations on each forum section

The forum moderators have provided a button to report topics and posts that are considered spam or duplicate mail through which we can report such behavior and they will delete it.

This is a good suggestion, I am support this to have an option for a self moderation, because some that may have a project will not need to read spam replies and those that are creative will be lost in many pages of their replies. I am think you are right my dear to have this as an option when make new posts.

If the content creators find comments useless and unrelated to the topic he have the right to revote the comment from thread but it will be adjusted as putting an extra option like reaction under the comments which only seen by author of the topic where he/she can judge the comment but the final judges will be Admin either it is useful or not. Many time I have sewn very useless and unrelated comments which I have reported and thought the author feel bad also, want to remove those comments. But it's process of learning and we must use iron hand but to run along side by correcting others.

It is a good idea, as there are many good ideas suggested by members to improve the forum, but do the moderators of the forum listen to these posts and implement the good ones?
