• Check the Locks and SSL certificate-  this is also one way to keep safe,checking every connection or site your visiting if they are secured or not.

 

You always have to be alert to the threat of being hacked and losing your cryptocurrencies by a computer criminal, who now also seeks to scam people by asking for bitcoin and duplicating it so easily that some people do it out of excitement without much thought.

You are right @Maaz sultanfinding a secure crypto wallet through a research is very important.Storing your Crypto in as secure wallet is a great security measure.For this I recommend you to use Trust wallet and Coinbase wallet.IF you have researched on a secure wallet ,then please let me know.

Yes coinbase is a secure crypto wallet but having a hardware wallet is much more secure which have no chances to getting hacked on any online platform as we heard that there are many exchanges and wallet are getting hacked and users have lose millions of money .

You are also right my dear friend @Maaz sultan in these five to six months many of the online wallets and exchanges have been hacked.But I think that Coinbase is still safe,at least for now.I think as you said using hardware wallet is more secure than any online wallet.

2fa is very important and is proven to reduce all kind of financial losses in crypto by 99%. If anything try to use 2fa in your email too and anywhere it is possible, it will save you from a lot of trouble and reduce the chance of losing money.

Also double and triple check the sending address when you send the funds to an exchange or another wallet because you might be infected by malware that is changing the addresses.

Using cold storage will help to be a better investor too. Having your coins in a hardware wallet will mean they are secure and you will not feel the urge to sell in every small retracement or you will not be influenced by shills that can spread fud or fomo an altcoin to make you lose bitcoins.

I somehow feel that email services are not doing enough to prevent phising attempts. I don't know why they are even allowing some messages that are clear spam and phising to be seen in the inbox when they should be deleted immediately. They are not doing enough to protect us.
