What is being discussed in this topic is quite different from what you have written in your post. The starter of the topic has asked about using bitcoin for keeping value. He hasn't said anything about profit or trading. Probably he only wants to buy bitcoin and hold it because he thinks bitcoin value is steady but it is not. Bitcoin may be more stable than most coins but it is still thought of as a volatile coin. It is not a stable coin like USDT. Storing value in bitcoin is not logical but trading with it makes sense.

These has always been an issue with bitcoin, considering it as a store of value is not that advisable rather one should just use it as a medium of exchanging, accumulate profit then invest it again.

I do like people saying bitcoin price is high, what matters is to buy it and the price to be increasing which makes the person that buy it to get more money. And you do not need to think, bitcoin is just a store of value.

I don't know if Bitcoin is a store of value. There is much speculation but if you look at charts for each year it seems it is making higher low for every year so this can be interesting fact to add to the store of value discussion. I think Bitcoin is what people see and how the market reacts about it every time makes it different.

Bitcoin is probably a store of value but it will be seen more like that in the future when it is proven reliable as a store of value. It is already used for this reason and for many more so perhaps it is an asset that has a lot of potential for many purposes and not just one.

The risky of holding is not high, if holding at the proper time, the price will rise and there holder will not panic. It will be good for someone to learn little of trading to be able to know the right time to hold.

I chose bitcoin and gold as a store of value. I believe that Bitcoin will strongly go up in value, because financial crisis caused by Corona virus. Like the gold is seen as a store of value, Bitcoin can be considered store of value also.

 

Further spreading of Corona virus only make positive influence on Bitcoin price.

 

With failing economy fiat money can easily lose value, bur Bitcoin is like "world currency" and it's price will only go up.

HasanAli96 I would also add Ethereum as a store of value because it has also many purpouses (smart contracts, ERC tokens etc.)

I think bitcoin is not a store of value because the value of bitcoin crypto currency is not stable i.e  it's value change day by day . Futher most people use this crypto currency.
