There are a *lot* of exchanges, but I would say that most of them aren't worth even trying, and a lot of them are from places in asia where there's not a lot of government oversight.  You'd think that would be a good thing, but it really isn't.  One of the reasons why binance is so good is because it's a legitimate exchange that isn't likely to scam its customers because it has to comply with government regulations.  Same thing with exchanges like coinbase.

 

Beware of unregulated exchanges.  But it's hard to know exactly which those are, because most of the time that info isn't available and you wouldn't necessarily know until you've been into crypto for a while.

Yes thgis question is not a specific answer because now there is no limit of crypto exchanges. Still peoples will create the exchange and they invest money in it and also they make new coins and also their own exchange coins so there is no limit of coins and also the exchanges in crypto.

There are a lot of Exchanges at the moment in tje world. Some of them are centrilised and some of them are pretending to be decentralised. All of them are risky, beacause you don't have full control of your assets on their wallets. Nevertheless it is impossible now to use crypto without Exchanges. You have to choose most reliable of them. It seems to me that such an exchange is Emirex (there is an good review of Emirex in Russian).They have access to a lot of funds from Middle East. It is a good thing for security. It is better to use several of good exchanges to have more security.

It is said that there were more than 16000 cryptocurrencies by 2018 October, just imagine how many are there right now and how many exchanges are there listing those.

Now this time thousands of exchange in the crypto market because 400 exchange i join personally because i join airdrops and in airdrops i mostly prefer the exchange coins because the exchange coins will give us good profit than the other coins in the crypto market. I think that the exchanges on coinmartketcap are too many for you to choose, the purpose you want to learn about many exchanges to do, instead you should look for reputable exchanges and coins to invest to start.

Well i cant really tell how many but i guaranteed there is a lot of exchange but some of them are scam so be careful choosing exchange platform.

There are close to 1000 exchanges up and running right now. Most of them have really low liquidity and a few of them are already tagged as scams. The coinmarketcap full list of exchanges is on this link:

The main problem with this list is the fake volumes most of these exchanges provide. Some of these actually have only 1% of what they display.

If you go on the web site of coinmarketcap , you will find all différents crypto which exist and also a list of the exchanges with their ranking following total amount exchanged on their platform exchanged.

Yes this is true that so many exchanges are running now in the crypto market but some are good and other exchanges are fake which make just scammers. Thats why i just invest the money in old exchanges and also secure exchanges where we can easily make deposit and withdraw.

Then it is good for you without losing your money to scammers. Some old exchanges are too doing fraud so top level exchanges are best than these all crap exchanges in the market. I am now with 3 exchanges only, but soon will increase if they offer anything to me.

Actually you can find out how many exchanges exist in this world through coinmarketcap or coingecko, but of course there are differences in the number of cryptocurrency exchanges displayed by coinmarketcap or coingecko, but from the search results that I did through coinmarketcap there were 306 cryptocurrency exchanges listed on the coinmarketcap site, while  registered at coingecko there are 375 cryptocurrency exchanges plus 25 derivative type exchanges on coingecko...

first some organisation or administration have to analyse and separate both.

on CMC in the exchangers section there is all the information you need on exchangers, the launch date of the exchange, daily, weekly, monthly volume. it would be nice if they added there full information about the exchanger, for example, what are the requirements for trading, depositing funds, whether verification is necessary

on Google you can't get the list.everyday new exchange comeup.and many shuts down or do exit scam.you can look for legit exchange over coinmarket cap list.not on google.

There are many exchanges in Cryptomarket that  can't be counted because some of them are fake exchanges and some legit.   So we can findout the numbers of exchanges available in the crypto market.  I like yobit, payeer, binance, cryptonator.
