Don't trust any website exchanges, I heard about the head or the owner of the OKEx exchange was detained by the police. And unfortunately withdrawals from the website exchange were stopped until they revise or an unspecified date. And the volume is higher! around 202,000 BTC on OKEx accounts which is 1.1% of the total market supply. So do you think really, are we out of risk?....

i think that you know the reason for why OKEX exchange owner detained by the police, for me i'm trust for binance and yobit exchange, they have long time in crypto world.

Before doing any tradings,at first check the platform features and legitness.Fake exchanges will simply lose all of your money. If I may say you can trade in these exchange platforms. They are all legit and they are :

*Bitfinex

*CEX.IO

*Coinbase

*Yobit

*Bittrex

*Bitbuy

*Changenow

Of course there are many exchanges out there whose aim is to manipulate or scam from it's users and we should use popular ones with good feed back and reputation,it's also sad news to the users of OKEx exchange for having the owner detained by the police and all transactions paused including withdraws until further notice,this is the reason why i always advice not to treat any exchange as a wallet because scenarios like this one when they occur it can cause some inconvenience and less hope this will not affect the price of bitcoin.

Novices trust any trading sites because they do not have ideas about trading. This is a good and important alert for all the new people in the crypto world. I also like to help them.

It is always advisable to check an exchange before trading there.

Is it safe and reliable.Are you funds safe there for trading.

However not that even the oldest and most stable exchanges may at one point or the other face some security changes but they are always on toes to ensure investor confidence.

There's always an element of risk so let not a one-off experience deter us from trading

Well today there are many scams but I really trust 100% in two exchanges that I have always gotten out of hand with them which they are.  And I recommend them are yobit exchange and binance exchange I do not change them for anything in the world

I think there are many exchanges now, and there is no need to look for New exchanges, there are many trusted exchanges that have been working for years now i think those are the one we shoud trust.

Good advise, we should not trust exchanges easily because not all are safe for us. There are many exchanges that we can use and they'll just eat our money, but there are other good exchanges that we will use and they'll give us benefits. So its good to make a research first.

Looks like okex made a mistake and got their money locked out. I still have a few coins on it and am waiting for them to unlock the withdrawal. We should wait.

Keeping our funds in less popular exchangers is sometimes dangerous and for that reason i am advising us to always make sure we make use of the likes of binance exchanger,kucoin and yobit exchanger which has earned good reputation from many people around the world due to the efficiency and advantages they have over other exchangers, you can also make use of trustwallet or Coinomi wallet which are also safe for keeping our funds as long as we don't share the personal information with someone else.

I do not get this point at all, there are many trustable sites to trade, I have make use of yobit and binance for trading, and they are good and reputed in all ways. I do not see this topic valid.

Yes, he was detained when withdrawal was disabled on the platform. Try yobit.

0.2 Milliaon is really a big amount, why the police captured him ? Was he involved  in any kind of scams ? And I am sure police would do something to give the money back.

Nice one, you have replied well, I took have learnt lessons from this very well. We need to be very careful because there are many scam around the world now, they make use of anything they have chances of making use of. We truly need to be very careful.

You're quite right, it's not very wise to blindly trust cryptocurrency exchanges. I actually have been affected by this OKEx situation and have been following the case closely. For now, there is uncertainty as for when the funds will be released and even if users will be ever able to get them back. We are all hopeful that this situation can have a good ending. Anyways, we all doing trading should always be aware that our funds are not completely safe in an exchange, and should manage our risk accordingly.

@tienda I agree, the recommendation will always be not to save your cryptocurrencies in an exchange because various situations can happen that can make you lose or block your cryptocurrencies.
Let's look back a bit and see that Mt Gox was hacked and to this day many users have not been able to recover their BTC because the legal process continues.

Yes you are right. We should not trust every exchange website. If we want to join a exchange website we should ask our seniors about safety of the exchanger and security of the exchanger. Then we should join the exchanger. Even after join we should be careful about scammers.

yobit and binance are reliable and safe platforms and I have used them for about a year now and I have not had any problem with them.
 I think they are both popular and trusted platforms, so I recommend them based on my own experience.
