correct, i would also add a few more things. bitcoin is public, so everyone can see the transactions that are made but it also private because no one can know which address is yours (until you don't that it's yours).

in my opinion the blockchain only records and holds all transaction data so that it is not known by anyone. wallet is a place to store bitcoin and you can send or receive crypto in this wallet.
