I think fast is relative and mostly depend how good the system break the block for send - receive - record transactions data. Every block connect with chain and all process depend network and electricity. If one of them get trouble delay will happen.

Eos i think is the fastest, can 4000 tps (transactions per second). to do a comparison Visa can 1500 tps.

after eos there are ripple (around 1500 tps) and GoChain (1300 tps)

I know dash and litecoin has very fast blockchain because most of the time you get the confirmations required in just a couple seconds after you make the transaction. Not sure about other coins

Actually the blockchain technology is one but the transactions speeds are different. It is game of sharding. Sharding is another topic to be discussed. Many of coins have ultra fast transaction speeds even 10000 tps per second.

You can use blockchain to make any transactions,  no wallet is faster than blockchain wallet i try different wallet but it takes time to confirm.

Their are many coins which transactions are  very fast we can not categories them but i can relate few of them EOS,XRP,NANO they are very fast in transaction.

I don't know exactly which coins were first made on the blockchain but my first crypto currency was Bitcoin and I think of it as the first crypto currency.
