As you said it is something chain reaction. That means What will BTC show us, altcoins will also do it. They are following each other. More than that from here we can learn that, when BTC would get up, altcoins starts get up too.

Yes bitcoin leads crypto market because bitcoin is the basement of all altcoins,in 2020 you check when bitcoin price increase most of altcoins prices also increase,and now bitcoin loss prices altcoin also drop their prices, so in my opinion without bitcoin altcoins not survive in crypto industry.

Bitcoin is highest coin above all the cryptocurrencies. And yes it also influence the prices of other currencies. Because when the price goes down of bitcoins then other currencies price goes down also. Stellar  or ripple ,litecoins or etheruem  it doesn't matter which coin it is.
