It happens many times that an ICO is sold at a price and when it is listed in an exchange it drops a lot in price and sometimes those ICOs also carry out airdrops and distribute large amounts, so when it is listed in the exchange the people who win in these airdrops sell and that's why the price goes down

It is very difficult to any coin to improve it's price because if any coin is at 0.1 and go to 1 so it's mean it improve it's price 500% which looks very difficult to any coin. While if any coin go 1 to 1.5 ,it's mean it go up just 50%.

I think one of the reasons is that the teams behind the project may not have done enough work in the areas of creating awareness on the said coin. Maybe, the only investors for years are only the ones who bought during the ICO or IEO. Also, some projects don't even have a good roadmap and wise investors don't invest in such project.

Some coins have no marketing and they remain uknown. Other coins they make a small budget and give it to a bounty but the problem can be that they only pay the bounty manager and not the users. Ico is basically  the rate on which the coin or token creator sells the currency so that they can earn the miney and later on the price is increased to give profits to the investors.
