Why does it taken so long for price of coins to reach $1?

You should never trust the ICO because if you buy pre-sale coins at the ICO price maybe if it comes out with that price but then it will go down since people will sell the cryptocurrency immediately when it is listed on an exchange and the price will drop to the ground, that's why I do not buy  cryptocurrencies in presale.

The price only increase when the demand of the token increases so it takes a while to make the demand of a coin so it takes few months to reach a good price level.

The coin is currently fluctuating within the range of 35-50 Satoshi since the beginning of the week which has got me weak and for that reason I will suggest we hold our coins at the moment untill the value rise again which will give us chance to make some reasonable profit for our work.

This is because during the initial period of any cryptocurrency it will not have any value or demands in the market. hence even the users who have these coins would be really apprehensive whether the value would further decrease which is the main reason why you find the value of coins decrease in when they are listed on the exchange. only if a particular feel that a particular cryptocurrency is worth buying then only its value good for the increase in the future.

exactly brother @tienda...If we aim at the crypto world then we can see that many currencies are being born in the crypto world day by day.  However, their prices are very low at first and when they become very popular, their prices increase day by day.  If you look at the birth prices of popular coins, you will see that their prices were very low.  So it takes time for the price of all coins to rise.

Never buy a currency in the ICO stage because they give a suitable price for them in order to achieve profits and then they make a free airdrop and distribute to everyone. When you enter the platform everyone sells and loses a lot of money so you can learn to trade better than participate in the ICO

Right as it all depends on the coins legality and also how the owner treat it like if we say that Talk coin reach to $1 than we have to stop selling it or the owner put some restriction on the coins selling.

I personally think and believe that there are several factors for a cryptocurrency to reach the Value of 1 dollar, one is the project on which it is based, if people are interested and start buying that cryptocurrency for refusing Value and more but unfortunately most of the cryptocurrencies do not have good projects therefore their value is minimal

We often see cryptocurrencies having very low price bellow one cent and sometimes even lower. Even when at ICO they had a fixed price of $1. This is a big problem as probably all these crypto projects were valued very high in the ICO and the real price appeared in the market. It also depends on the time of the trading as it can begin at a bear time when investors are not buying new projects.

Some cryptocurrencies were priced very high in the presales, the investors usually sell when the token or coin is listed and this makes it worse. The market wasn't very good for ICO since 2017 and most of them went down a lot.

Those coins which price is fixed those coins are called the stable coins and these coins will not make any move to up or down if the market crash the price is stable and if the market make a bull its price is stable.

I think the price will be low because the currency will be new and there is no great demand for the currency. The more the demand for the currency increases, the price increases and rises more, and I believe this is the main factor in determining the price.

ICOs can have any price the team wants, I don't follow them often but if they had $1 as price and entered exchange trading lower, it could be a very bad coin then, with terrible management from their team and probably the team dumped lower than $1, so there can be little hope for this investment, an exit plan should be in place and consider it an investment that went wrong.
