Always try to be an investor instead of a short-term trader

This is one of those things that many beginners seems to forget, most of the time they think they can make more money in the market by just trading short-term which is not true at all specially in bear markets, if you are one of those people that tried both trading and investing for long enough you should know by now that investing over all works better if you know how to research thoroughly on projects (like roadmap, team members and most importantly their delivery of promises) and hand pick the best of them, but be careful and remember you should be really paying attention to every single detail in their project and you should not ignore even smallest problems that you see withing the project and you should invest accordingly.

So if you truly want to make money in both bull and bear market my suggestion is go ahead and do extensive research about trending projects in crypto that have larger market caps (because they are less risky to hold) and buy them at a better price preferably using TA and remember to diversify your capital into different coins, this certainly will be the easier way of getting profit in this market since you trust the project and you didn't bought blindly that you would feel any kind of stress or regret it moments later.

Yes mate i agree because am doing both and to say the truth, investing is paying me good than trading. Because i can trade everyday and earn maybe $5 and sometimes i lose. but i can make one invest for one/two weeks and i earn $100 quick

Good point. Also, investing is way less stressful. And with volatility like in crypto, it can be very profitable as well if you have invested into right projects. But i usually try to sell if there is 100% jump in one day in a price for example. I'll just buy back when it drops. Because anything that rises fast, retraces a bit too.

Investing and short term trading is completely different sectors and we can investment if you invest up to 5-10 years. But I would choose short term trading because we can choose any coin and stocks for trading and we can't get profit all the time but if the price goes higher then we can gain hue amount. So, I would go for short term trading.

That's right but also it depends with which type of a short term trading that you are doing. For example for those traders who are doing peer to peer, their profit is not depending with the market but it depends with the clients that they get per day, because you set a profit that you wan't in p2p. The same to giant traders of arbitrage, they use a lot of money in their daily traders but they can earn even $100 per trade depending with their capital. Buy low/sell high the best known method used by many traders, one of the best but you will not earn much unless you have good capital or the market is good in the pair that you trade. Investing is always profitable if you are active, sometimes you may miss certain price point and you will wait for the next month for that pair 😂.

I totally agree with you, being an investor is the best, traders just stay and remain in the same place, just look at it this way , when you are working hard to trade someone buys a stock say around 0.003$ for about 3000 and they are lauched , and this guy gets around 300,000$ the guy looked for an opportunity and it worked, imagine this the trader, how long it would take him to make the same money

@Calvinpriva Profit depends on price volatility for short term traders.Before 2018, I used to buy BTC to hold for a long time but later once I noticed high BTC price in the market, I decided to sell my holdings but profit was not that remarkable to consider. After 2018, I am attracted towards active short term trading and mostly it is helping me as it depends on different analysis and trading skills. Recently(within the last three 4 days), I managed to make more than $350 from arbitrage and active tradings. I did absolutely nothing hard but just kept rotating my crypto holdings on some major exchange including HitBTC, Yobit and performed some traders. So profit is live on now for me but if I have invested to wait for a long time, I can not be sure whether I could make this much profits or not.

Yah short trading  will give you huge profit without any doubt but it can fall you Down in huge lose too.. patience might be the hardest thing to do as newbies as many has underestimate this as this comes into using your time to your advantage but many never do this right thats why others dont get the right profit that they could have gotten.

@Calvinpriva I think you mention p2p trading strategy works in localbitcoin and paxful platform's, where trader buys bitcoin low prices and  sell those currencies at high price, there traders set their buying and selling price according their profit, I think p2p trading better then short term trading.

@Honny143 Yap, p2p is better because you set your own profit. I have more than 2 years experience in p2p and that's why i trade it more than any other type of trading. Though sometimes you will sell few trades according to how you marketing yourself.

You are right friend, one thing that make some go for short term trading is nothing than over greediness to get quick rich, to gain small profits. Its very good for us to understand for one to make a huge amount of money has to take him  period of moment. As such choose a value and potential coin to invest for a very long term, doing so will give you a great chance for making bountiful profit.

Both investing and short term trading and investing has their advantages and disadvantages but I will recommend one should involve in both trading and investment if you know how to trade very well no doubt trading bring quick profit unlike investment you have to wait for a long period of time before you gain your profit back but in terms of trading the profit you earn you can put half of it into investment and half into trading with that you can earn multiple streams of income.

@Calvinpriva Not only arbitrage, there were some trades on individual exchange too but not more than 6 trades. Market condition with high price volatility is the best time for me to be more active 😉 At least $1000+ capital is required to harvest the more benefits. You know,last time Ethereum price was at the peak $485, I immediately sold my holding because I had updates about an exit from potential investors from DeFi platforms. Later, smile was on my face, price dropped to $318 😂 !

@Whited35 Yah, 6 trades not bad. But you are a lucky trader 😂 you have avoid loss that would cause you a lot of stress i guess. Do you think it's a good time to buy ETH or until it reaches $270 maybe

I am just wondering entire this year 😂. @Calvinpriva So I have been repeatedly telling, this is the luckiest year for me in cryptocurrency sphere. There were three painful years to come this one. DeFi craze is looking like to go down, personally I still do not recommend anyone to buy ETH as its price can go even down to meet the base $180.

Damn! ETH can make one rich if you buy it and hold when it's under $200. You can earn more than 100% profit I really like to trade but I know nothing about ETH. Mostly I like to buy and hold LTC and WAVES. Maybe and XRP when they are under $0.2 because I can buy a lot of them and hold until they reach $0.3 and I sell for profit. @Whited35

@Calvinpriva Only one asset from my investment portfolio is not giving me sufficient benefits, that is Litecoin itself. LTC/BTC price strength is not looking good in a comparison with that of ETH/BTC. Seriously, you would have the more benefits if you held ETH instead of LTC.

But am not good at day trading, we can trade the same pair and the same capital but you can earn $300 profit but i will earn $150. @Calvinpriva No worries, you should not necessarily to act too quickly 😊. If you are good at P2P and arbitrage, you might still consider them because they are also an effective ways to make benefits. I also place buy orders on Paxfull by setting up my own price, it is really fun way to deal with clients and actually a risk free(in a sense of loosing money). By the way, which exchange sites are you using for arbitrage ?
