J.K. Rowling asks about Bitcoin

Joanne K. Rowling is the author of the Harry Potter books and movies. Although I don't care about Harry Potter and never watched the movies, I was pleasantly surprised to read her tweet yesterday. Sadly what happened was the usual bot-army took over and begun shilling like madmen all the  shitcoins.

 

 

 

I was surprised even further reading comments of various youtube crypto-influencers as Ivan that wrote this nonsense bellow:

 

 

In reality the community seems to be more immature than ever right now. The people involved are tweeting ridiculous narratives while being totally wrong on how economy works. I remember reading quite a lot of posts about hyperinflation in the US, which because I have a slight idea about economics I laughed with. 

Hyperinflation requires the overwhelming majority of the countries financial infrastructure to go wrong. It is not about just about the increase of national debt by 5-10%. In a recession what happens is actually deflation. Yet can't argue on twitter with an army of trolls and bots these influencers have on their disposal.

Twitter is all about the strong ones. The voice of reason is lost between the thousands of shills and bot-created answers.

Opinions differ on the importance and how Bitcoin and cryptocurrency works, it seems to me that they all need to amend some information about cryptography. I wish I could reply to this tweet. Maybe she was going to enter Bitcoin into the movies field when she knows its importance

This is one of the reasons why I don't have, and never plan to have, a Twitter account. Heh, not that I'm a famous celebrity or anything like that, anyway.

 

She might get some more sensible answers about Bitcoin if she goes to other discussion platforms, and better yet, she hides her identity and not dropping her well-known name just like that. Even a 'fake celebrity' account would have gotten flooded like that too. Well, at least now she knows her situation and hopefully gains a lesson from it.

 

And yes, she is welcome to inquire here on Cryptotalk, too 🙂 .

That's true she deserved to know more about bitcoin  but I think after what she learnt about it she will be meditating on it perhaps one day she might feature it on movies show as you said and this will be a good thing for the popularity of not just bitcoin but all Cryptocurrency out there.

Imagine that she would have mentioned some low marketcap coin. That would have pumped 10x just as a joke :D.

LOL! McAfee would be so angry if she was to take his place in shilling altcoins! Anyway the thing is if they've only allowed Elon Musk to answer or the person she was originally asking about Bitcoin, then she might actually got interested. The reactions of the crypto twitter was just another shill-fest.

We all read that post on twitter and it got viral also. Many people retweeted the post also. Even Elon Musk tried to teach about bitcoins to Rowling. But it was intensive also. Because we all have thought that maybe Mr. MUSK has a good amount of bitcoin. But he revealed that he only hold 0.2 btc. But the good news is everyone is showing interest to the cryptocurrencies. And soon everyone will understand the benefits of it too.

The approach of crypto twitter is immature and irrational. This is proven that won't work yet the bags these people hold must be so heavy that they spent their whole day shilling cryptocurrencies on social media and youtube. Personally I dislike any such approach on marketing and it looks just like trying to promote a scam. Hopefully these people will mature at some point and understand that what they are doing is just making people leave.

This even makes bitcoin to be more known because this went viral, I read it everywhere and it was even said that could it drive bitcoin above $10000 but it may not but it makes bitcoin to be known to many twitter users.

This is not really good, and these people must know the true value of digital currencies and the way to benefit from it, so they must read more about cryptocurrencies and not judge it this way.

Elon Musk tries his best to help Bitcoin. He can't just simply go and say "Buy Bitcoin it's going to the moon" as others do, but he is seriously looking into it and it's possibilities. Besides Bitcoin he is looking into Ethereum as well. Hopefully there will be more maturity in the crypto twitter at some point, but the fact is that I simply can't read accounts that are just shilling and reposting not original views but what they find from others.

She talks like she does not know anything about bitcoin. And many of the people that talks about bitcoin did not talking about it so well. Bitcoin is an online money but it is also an asset.

In social media platforms so many big celebrities express their feelings, because they are influencers and so many users follows their opinion, if any celebrity thinks crypto is not good for their users, so its take positive we know what the value of crypto and how the crypto change this world in future, then they realize.

I agree. I also think that too many of those that responded didn't have any right to do so and they were looking just as spammers. I mean Ellon Musk did reply so there was no reason for anyone else. He gave her an explanation that she needed to know, and not things about collectives and shilling of altcoins. This was really dumm.

I hate seeing all these social media celebrities trying to hide their real view and intention on bitcoin, maybe they want to be more popular with that while they will be secretly investing in it. J.K Rowling to me is more of an hypocrite, my view on this.

It looked like there was some plan behind this. Perhaps she is thinking of some new book and wanted to see reactions. Still crypto twitter sometimes looks desperate the way they handle things.
